Your health is a test for you, your sickness is a test for you. Your wealth is a test for you and your poverty is also a test for you. your spouse is a test for you, your children are a test for you. Some people worship god in times of ease but if one of there children dies they stop worshiping and becomes a disbeliever. Some when they lost the wealth and becomes poor they stop worshiping. And Allah said in the quran. Indeed we create the human beings not but to be tested to see which of you are good indeed.

Surah 29 2 Do people think once they say, “We believe,” that they will be left without being put to the test? This is from the Quran, God is saying that regardless of our situation on this earth. Whether we are believers or not we will be trialled and tested through hardship, pain and suffering, misery etc. It is an inevitable part of our existence and specifically for the favoured ones of God. To answer in a nutshell it is part of the system God designed. Good and evil exists and evil things do happen to good people. This is part of Gods system and free will.

Sick. God uses the death of children to see if others make the test or not. Imagine you won't succeed the test because of the death of your child, but would have succeeded if the child survived. Kind of sick to let the child die anyway right?
