Great video and model! I think screwing is a lot more fun than gluing. There should be more model kits like this, including in smaller sizes.

After watching your dire experiences with the F40, it seems to me that this is whole lot easier to assemble. It's by far THE most beautiful car on the planet, anyhow, so I can really see one appearing in my life before too long. Thanks, Wayne, for a great build!

Excellent build…looks amazing! Thanks Wayne. For anyone that ordered the Silver (or even Gold) editions, I got the add-on pack last week, consisting of the Silver plaque, JAG1961 number plate, and the signed certificate of authenticity…just waiting on the display plinth and it will be 100% complete. It’s been a great purchase from Agora and I wouldn’t hesitate to order from them again 👍🏼

I have to say that some of your descriptive terms really give me the laffs. The hood cover is called 'the hood cover', and the 'gear shaft' is the propeller shaft. However, you do this this most everything you build, so it just exercises my mind to sort out what you really mean - the mental exercise does me the power of good!

It was only two weeks ago I got to drive a really nice Aston Martin DB4 that used to be driven in races by none other than Sterling Moss. I only drove it from its garage into our mobile spray booth and back into its garage but I drove it all the same. This build has gone together fast, or is that just me. The E Type Coupe is my dream car but the soft top E Type is close second.

Well done job,i would love to build a X12 jaguar one of my favorite sports cars of all time,still to this day is timeless. Building a model is much easier if you familiar with the prototype subject read the instructions carefully, tesst fit the parts especially the one parts you may not no what there for. LOL. Great build.. although so far I'm a tad disappointed by the seats. They look a bit plasticky to me unlike the Peugeot 205 interior which was superb. An ideal opportunity for Mike's Mods to do an adhesive cover that looks better :) (Edit: The boot interior looks better than the seats IMHO).

I agree with you on that Julian. I was surprised that the seats were not padded leather. I agree - a perfect mod for Mike Land to add to this Jaquar mod sets)

Yes. It is really up to you how you mount it. I cut off the tabs and used a foam double sided tape to attach it

@@WorldofWayneUK Yea, I was wondering about that too. It's my understanding you have to drill holes in the trunk lid - really!? (Now, what could possibly go wrong with that!) Maybe Mike Lane can create a magnet that can attach to the racks?

Beautiful car! Seems to be a bit easier to do than the Lamborghini Miura, am I right? Especially the electric parts and the assembly of the engine with the chassis.

@@WorldofWayneUK last question, if you can: would you say this model is better in details and precision in comparison with the 1:8 Model Space Jaguar XKE? As I can see, interiors seems to be more realistic in that model than in the Agora E.

I just finished this today. (Except for two of the wheels. I am waiting until I punish myself for buying too many builds.) Two problems: 1) The lights work well when I flip the power switch to on. When I turn them off the tail lights stay on. Does anyone have this problem and any ideas on how to correct this? 2) Where does the luggage rack go? Any help would be appreciated.

Not sure about the power thing but the luggage tach does on the boot. I cut of the tabs from mine and secured it with tiny strips on double sided tape

I love this build and the only thing stopping me is the sour taste that Eagle Moss has left in my mouth. After spending so much money on time on it. I got up to kit 58 then nothing for 9 months except lies from the company. Then they fold the company on us. I just do not want to go through that again.

I hear you on that! But the way I look at it is - don't hold a bias against other companies for the failure of one company. Agora is a far better and secure company, that all other like companies should follow. (I learned that lesson the hard way thanks to the EM mess.) Also, don't forget the Agora Promise. They guarantee that you will complete your build(s). I'll be completing my Shelby Cobra next month and I plan on subscribing to 3 more builds with them. Fanhome, IXO are equally terrific. The way I understand EM is that they were in trouble for years. To long term customers, this was really no surprise. Those like me who were new customers as well as new to diecast building were blindsided. Hope this helps.

Wire spoke wheels how do I hate you? I hate you like turkey hates Thanksgiving. I hate you like Custer hates Sitting Bull. If I wrote hate on every piece of sand on all the beaches and in all the deserts, that would not begin to equal the hateful hate I am hating you with. Otherwise, a fun build. Sort of like Mrs Lincoln being asked "Other than that, how did you like the play?
