Actually, magazine is the correct term for firearms. The term "clip" refers to a device used to aid in the loading of small arms magazines. The full term is "strip clip." It's a strip of metal that clips onto primer end of a bullet casing, forming a row along the strip. The now full strip clip can be pushed into an empty magazine, then retracted, leaving the ammo in the magazine, and an empty clip. 🍻
