8:33 To put it simply, Mexico pretty much saved not just the King of Fighters series from dying, but they also saved SNK from going into bankruptcy. The reason as to why it's because the NEO-GEO arcade machines perfomed extremely well in Latin-America, specially in Mexico. And as thanks the developers created a character in King of Fighters (Ramon is his name) that would appeal to Mexican players. Also mexicans just really like King of Fighters.

8:45 As Mexican i can explain. The king of fighters arcade was one of the most popular games in the arcades even more than street fighter and well the were every where even in the tortilla factories. So everybody could play even i learned in a Cinema. Also México saved SNK from going bankrupt and they made a character to apeal us.

@OtakuDaiKun I don't think it came from the VN. I want to say it was in some sort of material book or manga, or something. But Kirei's birthday line in FGO does reference it because he does give the player a set of clothes and laugh at how disappointed we are in them.

8:33 I can explain that! King of Fighters has a strong cult following in Mexico. That all stemmed because SNK arcade games worked hand-in-hand with mexican distributors Plus Electronics. That made arcade versions of games like KOF easily accessible for everyone to play. Now the country has a massive community centered on the saga, complete with e-sports tournament champions and an absolute ban towards Rugal in competitive play, because the bastard is too OP -- and i will even translate the fandom's saying on this one "Whoever plays as Rugal is a homo". Their words, not mine.

8:45 Si, is a little complicated, but the reason is king of fighters, was because in Mexico the arcades were a huge part of kids growing up. But the most important we’re King of Fighters, because in the time it was realized, and the constant changes in the game “updates” the kid always wanted to learn the hole game. And now, the top players are mostly Japanese or Mexicans. (Also, one combination base only on King of Fighters happened in Mexico City, and three characters were created as Mexicans, because of how popular the game was in the country).

8:40 Actually there's a reason behind it, SNK's Neo Geo Arcade system where most of King of Fighters games where released uses cartridges instead of having the game installed on the board, and duo to the high customs in mexico, it's better to buy one Neo Geo arcade machine and ten cartridges so you can have ten games in one machine instead of one game from another system with same price. So basically the arcade game scene in Mexico and South America is only Neo Geo, and since King of Fighters is the biggest franchise released on the sytem, it's the most popular there to the point that Mexicans are insanely good at them and no one from other countries can touch them, so there you go.

A interesting idea for I have for a nasuverse character would be like the opposite of rin a normal human without the ability to use magecraft but has the perfect mindset of a mage I think you could make a pretty interesting stories with that type of character in the nasuverse. Like what would this character do if they find out about magecraft but also knew they cannot use it even though it would be perfect for them.

Gen Z didn't turn being average into an insult, it has long been an insult. They simply gave it a word. Being middle of the road as a person has always been seen as a bad thing because it signifies that you aren't trying to better yourself at every opportunity. It's seen as wasting your potential and not caring for the effort your parents put into raising you and the opportunities given to you. There's a constant narrative that Gen Z is doing X or Y thing when for the most part they're just going through their cultural boom where they're giving things terms and finding themselves. Honestly, it's kinda sad that despite having gone through it some millennials are as much as part of the problem in the, "Gen Z hate train," as Boomers are due to their own perceptions of how things SHOULD be; as well as their unwillingness to accept change.
