Agricultural Dataspaces with Eclipse Dataspace Components - Realizing a Demo Use Case 

Data in the agricultural domain is often fragmented and stored in disparate silos that have private standards and closed architectures. The lack of interoperability and trust resulting from such a setup hinders data sharing, which is necessary to unlock its full potential. One promising solution that aims to address these challenges is the concept of dataspaces.
In the X-KIT project, we are exploring Gaia-X and what it offers for the agricultural domain. One technical solution we came across our journey is the “sovity Community Edition EDC” Connector which is a ready-to-use connector implementation based on the Eclipse Dataspace Components (EDC).
To further explore and better understand the capabilities of such connectors, we created a demonstrator. The first version of our demonstrator is presented in this video.
