Thanks for Nice video. Air tight packing is prerequisite for quality silage making. What if we press the crushed silage into small packs (40 Kg) and then pack into a vacuum sealed plastic bags before storing. And this process can be easily automated. Will this effect the quality? Your prompt response will be highly appreciated.

The quality will be improve in the case if you have proper packing of the chopped fodder, secondly, if the system is automated then the chance of air and moisture effect on the chopped fodder will be minimum and silage can be moved and stored for a longer run

Upto 10 tonn per acre, yes there are many companies working on it and now the silage is popular for livestock feed among the globe...everyone knows about it just need to market before the process initiates through social media and other sources of communication..

Thanks for watching and liking the video, actually any abrupt change in the feeding practice effects the intake of feed among animals. You may add the silage with a minimum quantity by adding any fodder, hey, feed which your cow likes most. Once the taste of the silage developed for your cow you may gradually increase the quantity upto the recommended dose per day as per body weight, production of your cow

in most of the silage preparation I have seen addin jakkery or in Urdu it's said liquid gur ( sweet in nature) over the cropped grass layer then put another layer of the cropped grass and repeat. but in this vedio it's it's only the cropped grass is used. please let me know whether it can done without gur or jakkery.

These type of materials are called inoculants, there are lots of inoculants available in the market their function is to enhance the fermentation process of silage simply it fastens the silage finalization un less than 40 days. But if you have not these inoculants you can simply follow the steps and can have silage within 40 days.

It is incomplete video does show the sequence of silage making, not does it mentions the time of silage process. It misses the spraying of molasses on the fodder. Needs to be redone incorporating complete process in easily visible movie.

Yes, but recommendation for best silage is Maize crop while crops with broader leaves and greater moisture percentages can also be used for silage.

@@aasimyousaf9395 yes the silage prosess take around 45 days... but if kept AIRTIGHT it can last more than 1 year.... reason most bunker silos are used up in 1 year,, is that you make new silo piles each year. hehe IF say fresh corn-gras was available say every 3 years,, ORE 1 year was 1000 days,, im sure farmers would use more plastic layers ore better plastic to store it better.

في أعلى الضغط وإذا كان لدينا منحدر في القبو كل الماء / الرطوبة ينضح أسفل والمفرومة المتبقية، وضغط العلف قبل السيلاج سيكون الرطوبة الحرة لذلك هذا من شأنه أن يحافظ لفترة أطول بعد تغطية من أعلى ومن خلال ختم السليم
