Agust D - The Last reaction! [ 

You're right about this song taking bravery. I already loved BTS when this came out but was having a really dark time. I had dealt with major depression before and knew what it was and that i needed help, but depression also comes with this deep sense of guilt. I knew I needed help but was terrified to tell anyone. Then this came out and of course it resonated with me. I could feel the real ness but Suga's bravery to speak so plainly and so publicly, even more so as a star, really struck me. His courage gave me courage to talk to my parents and those close around me. If I didn't do that I honestly don't know where I'd be right now. Actually I couldn't find the words to express myself so I used a BTS lyric video to show my parents and just said "this is how I'm feeling." And that was enough to start a conversation. That's why I'll be eternally grateful and always support BTS. They're not afraid to talk about hard things, and even feel they have a responsibility too because they have an audience. People need stars who are real because they literally have the power to save lives.

This really felt like I was sitting down with a group of friends listening to thought provoking music and then discussing it without any barriers or filters. Honestly, I teared up a bit hearing “no matter what I do I’ll never be able to know what he went through because that was his own struggle and pain”, that’s all I’ve ever wanted to hear. Every time I open up I get told “I understand, I’ve been through it too” and “you’re not alone” which felt so upsetting because they don’t understand, they can’t, and I *am* alone, I have to deal with my thoughts and feeling myself, everyday, alone. A lot of people connect to yoongi because he’s the embodiment of what many teenagers and young adults feel, wish for, work hard for, suffer through, deal with etc. He’s quiet and in his own world most of the time but that doesn’t make him a bad person which I think a lot of people can identify with. If you don’t hang around with a group of friends you’re seen as an outcast or strange like there’s something wrong with you but in reality your mind is already so full with noise and contradicting voices that being around people makes it almost unbearable. All of the BTS members have their own individuality that attracts many people to them. Despite being introduced to the kpop world almost seven years ago I have yet to find a group that makes me feel what they do. Seeing any of the members cry breaks my heart but also makes me happy: “Hu, so they are real? They also suffer, I see it now. Thank you for sharing your pain and allowing us to share ours. You’ve worked hard. We love you,” I often think. BTS represents a generation of people all around the world that uses their voices to speak out for those without one. Each member represents a stage in life that allows them to connect with their fans and people no matter who they are. Thank you for this amazing video that allowed me to feel so emotional and such relief.

방탄소년단의 노래는 어둡던 저를 밝게 만들어주고 치유해준 노래에요 노래로 엄청난 위로와 감동을 받게 되었고 제가 저를 부정하고 힘들어 할 때 정말 많은 힘이 되었어요 그래서 방탄은 다른 가수보다 더 특별하게 느껴져요

This song is one of my favorite Agust D songs. Because it serves as a reminder of how harsh the world is and how hard we try to deny that which hurts us rather than work it out. I admire Yoongi so much for having the bravery to put his emotions and struggles out there. I'm sure it took a lot of courage to do it. But the help he was able to provide to people is immeasurable. This is why BTS is like no other artist/idol. They are real, they are raw, they are themselves and they truly want to make a difference with their music. And I will be a fan until the decide to not do this anymore. but even then, I will have their entire discography to go back to and they will continue to live on.

I really, really look up to Yoongi so much. Whenever I’m having a hard time, as cheesy and cliche at this sound, I really think about how strong and brave he is to bore the kind of like he had in the past, I think about that and I gain strength. Whenever I hate myself for not being good enough, for not being to do good and when I fee bad that I have these thought, his lyrics really calms and chases those pains away. I know every person has their darkness within and each of us are different, but to have an anchor like BTS’ music in our lives, or just them as a symbol of hope and positivity while softening our rough edges, even for a short time, their existence really helps a lot. They don’t solve our problems of course because that’s still up to us, but them saying things like “Love yourself” or “Open your heart and take a break” “If you feel like you’re going to fall, accelerate more” and many more, words like that really lessens the burden we feel. I’m just extremely grateful for them.

This is the best reaction I have ever seen of this iconic Song!!!! The Last is a song that saves lives! It let's people know that they are not the only ones who have dark thoughts and have fears. And that it's ok to feel the way your feeling because you can overcome it all! The transparency of Suga/Agust D/Min Yoongi is nothing short of a Hero move!!! 마지막 듣고 나서는 저 곡 앨범을 다 들어보면 딱 슈가님의 과거를 대충이라도 알 수 있는 가사들이 많으면서도 여러 사람들이 공감할 수 있는 가사들이 많아요. so far away는 꿈이 없는 꿈이 아직 생기지 않은 사람들이 크게 공감할 수 있는 가사가 있어서 진짜 힘들 때 듣기 좋아요. agust d 앨범을 듣다보면 직설적이면서도 돌려 말하는 가사들이 많아서 그런 걸 추리하고 가사에 대해 생각을 해보면 되게 심오한 내용이 많아요.

Actually glad you finally reacted to this. You were all on point. It's true that only those that underwent a similar experience/situation can have a bit of understanding since we all have different circumstances that we deal with, are dealing with or have dealt with. THE LAST is the song that got me into SUGA and then BTS. I've had a rough year and I've been listening to this song on repeat for months. I never understood people who said that music saved them, until I experienced it first hand.

When the mixtape was released, I remembered watching so many of The Last's reaction but they're from non-Korean reactors. The ENG lyrics may not be accurate to the actual KOR meaning and I didn't cry or feel like crying even when those reactors cried but watching you guys react to this and I saw how you got restless and fidgety and then when Yoongi started the 2nd part of the song of him being better and flexing his achievements and saw the smile on your faces - I got emotional. I really cried when i listened 'the last'..It was so painful to hear all his struggles but kind of happy too because he shared his feelings to us cause he might have thought we are close enough to share this with us and also because he was fine now!! People even now criticize them. They accused them of false plagarisim, gave death treats, hipop rapper mocked suga and RM..They went through a lot , practiced hard, but even though haters call them overrated!! The comments under the song has so many stories of armys who felt so similar to him, who had struggles with themselves, who were fighting with themselves and the so called "societal values and expectation"..People call him to be so silent and not fun loving but what he had gone through that time is hard to imagine , he had problem to open with everyone but know when i see him so happy, it really makes my heart so warm..He along with six members have really taught me to love myself!! BTS are really amazing groups whose music and lyrics move the people heart, give them warmth and teach them to love themselves, there are many people who have sterotypes for BTS but if you start to get into them them you will get to know how amazing and different are they in a good way!! Purple you BTS!! Borahae!!1

This song always makes me very emotional. I can relate to the lyrics as well as I've been in dark places before, I've lived off of nothing before, and even now there's times that I'm struggling, even if it's not on a monetary basis. It's more mentally. Their music helped me through so much and always pull me back into the light. I'm glad you guys didn't let those comments get to you too much and that you made this channel regardless, because I love your videos and the insight you have into much of it, as you've come from the same culture as the boys have, there are many things you understand that we might not even realise.
