I think in the past people just fucked birds enough to make it part of our lexicon. Chicks being more fucked up, as that's just straight baby birds. People also call each other "baby"... I'm not a furry myself but when your on the internet you run into some stuff you aren't expecting and to be perfectly honest, some are such good artists that they actually manage to make these weird animal/human hybrids hot in a weird sort of way. Most are just disgusting but when you find a good picture you begin to question yourself. Like, am I a furry and I don't realize it or is it just because a like this sort of figure on a person, or am I just an art snob?

I mean, tbh, not all furries are about it for sex, or as a fetish, it's really a term for people that enjoy art (usually animation), writing, or other media with anamorphic characters, human like animals or animals that talk or act like humans. So technically there's a whole lot of Disney (for example) that liking it makes you a fan of furry works, Looney Tunes like Bugs Bunny as well. 5 year olds (...and others..) that like My Little Pony are technically furries, as are anyone that likes the Five Nights at Freddie's characters. It's just been taken to a whole other level when more of the general population found out that some people enjoy wearing fur suits, have fursonas, and that a part of the community liked porn featuring those characters. It combined those ideas into painting the idea that all furries like to have sex in fur suits and want to have sex with animals. I'm not a part of the furry community, but I have a friend that has a fur suit for a Pokemon cosplay, and if you know how expensive those things were you'd understand quickly why no one has sex in the suits (especially combined with lack of access). So honestly, you don't have to question if liking a piece of art makes you a furry in the sense you think. Art is art, and art is good, and sometimes the art is sexy even if they have ears or a tail.

Uhhhhh...nah, you aren't automatically a furry if you like Looney Tunes or My Little Pony. There's definitely a fandom-thing around being a furry that's different than just liking a show with animals that act like humans.

Like I said, a furry isn't just someone that wants to fuck something that looks like an animal. It's actually the wide and general term for the fandom of people that like animals doing people things, whatever the degree of it is, and that includes things like those shows. I was curious and bored and procrastinating probably one day and actually did research into it.
