There is a discrepancy between the score and the audio. She is sinjng in c minor baroque pitch which is down a semitone, yet the score here is the G minor version. Its very good though! Beautiful singing such a wonderful piece.
Wonderful! Yvonne Kenny's voice and styling in this lovely Handel aria are both elegant and beautiful, and the instrumental accompaniment fully does them justice! There are many videos of this marvelous aria on RU-vid. The selection presented here is one of the best. Thank you for posting. Most enjoyable!
The music is two different keys, the sheet music is g minor while the female is singing in b minor.... Makes it hard to use practically when I thought it was g minor along with the sheet music....
@@inukaianji4935 (Ah! mio cor! schernito sei!KARAOKE FOR SOPRANO VOICE - Händel - Key: G Minor Partituras Interactivas) this is the recording I use when I practice for voice lessons, it is still quite breathtaking even without a voice btw.
The singer's edition seems to be different that the one used in the score animation. There are several differences in the vocal line that have nothing to do with Baroque ornamentation.
Yvonne Kenny sings from an original manuscript most of the time, which allows for a lot of flexibility. This sheet music we see is made for an amateur singer with a piano accompaniment. The vocal line in the video is written for a student to understand, and is not really used for any type of professional performance of this Aria.
She is singing in c minor. In baroque pitch you sing down a semitone so she starts on b natural - just checked it on my piano. The score presented here though is In G minor hence the discrepancy I think.
@@ScoreAnimation Nope. This is substantially higher. Usually, with baroque instruments the tuning is 415 hz, or about a semitone lower than concert pitch. We are hearing B minor, but it is written in G minor. My guess is that either this recording was made based on a revised version of the opera, or the singer made the decision to transpose the aria to suit their voice.
Merci ;)
there is a mistake in the sheet : F# left hand in the begining of the end. We can hear it normal played by the orchestre. All the piano versions in youtube play it F# ... can so explain me ? yours ;)
