When you don't know what's actually happening, what Dazai says afterwards doesn't mean much. But when you know Chuuya was faking it the whole time, the "Where do you think you're aiming that gun?! You really suck at this!" Suddenly makes sense. It was never part of the plan. Chuuya just did that for funsies. Rude.
I like to imagine this is entirely genuine, like yeah Dazai probably planned all of this out, but he really didn’t intend to get shot like that, this was probably the part of the plan Chuuya enjoyed the most.

Nah bc this scene is really funny in hindsight 😭 his reaction is so noticeably more genuine (especially in the manga) bc it’s the one part of this interaction that he DIDNT plan for, he wasn’t expecting it and you can tell how pissed off he is at chuuya but he can’t break character LMAO
SPOILERS BELOW: The fact that Chuuya was only pretending to be a vampire really puts this scene into perspective and in my mind makes the scene funnier.
I saw this video near after the release, or one like it, when it randomly appeared in my recommended months ago. Of course, I brushed it off since I had nothing to do with this fandom! who even were these people?? well, this video or the one like it stayed in the back of my mind and I think it’s funny how my friend introduced me to bsd recently, and I, in turn, binged the whole main show, and am yet to watch dead apple and beast. well, when watching chuuya shoot dazai, I remembered this video or the one like it. I guess I was fated to one day join this fandom 🤷
