This is not nice, look at the characteristics of both, they are not compatible with each other. you mistake the original gwen for older without admitting that she is officially 10 years old, and denying the teen gwen fron alien force. raven is 16-18 years old and much older than her, only the teen gwen from alien force is the only one who is compatible with raven.
I can't remember the extradimensional demon, though. I know she was once possessed by ghostfreak, but I don't think thats the one she's referring to. Would anyone like to refresh my mind?
@@Agustin_Leal i was kinda thinking it was either ghostfreak or one of the aliens from the noel void. But she does say "Survived a possession from an extradimensional demon" so i would think its ghostfreak.
@@Alex-ni6ot nobody was talking about the two smashing. Besides this Raven is 15/16 and Gwen is anywhere between 10/16 since this is clearly the teenage one and not the youngest variant I'd figure 13/14 on average. Again no one said anything about romance here...
I know right? It’s warming to my heart and endearing to my hopes, how the creator turns something destined to be foul into something more and beautiful. Like Zuko, or Piccolo, or Kovu.
@@Alex-ni6ot He's not trying to make anything that's realistically connected to either Teen Titans or Ben 10. It's just meant to be a wholesome fun animation
That’s pretty disingenuous. People who like voice acting tend to act the part to the best of their ability. It’s fun because you get to play a character you likely like so of course voice actors can act.
Everyone else sees Raven asserting her dominance. I just see Raven trying to tell Gwen to get her own goddamn ice cream hidden beneath countless layers of passive aggressive playfulness.
Next time you go to a restaurant, claim that you are royalty and make the waiter taste your food first. Assert dominance by looking them in the eyes and saying "Aaahhhh" as you spoofeed them.
Gwen: *lists her achievements Raven, the daughter of a cosmic-level demon, with telekenetic powers beyond measure, who helped save the Earth since before I was born: "aAaAah"
no one asked me but ill say this. "I respect this comment" trust me carpet.... many times I'd rather of had carpet in certain spots and I would have gladly taken grey brother.
I like how Gwen starts presuming in front of Raven all the things she did, and she is like: "Yes, and i am the little child of a interdimentional Devillord than can have Darkseid as his pet"
@@donflamingo5685 True form Darkseid can't even fit in the multiverse, so I doubt she keeps Darkseid as his pet. True form Darkseid could make Trigon his bitch anytime.
She can't tolerate Ben most of the time without losing her cool and yet Raven has her trained well. Let's have Raven babysit Ben and see how that works out.
Not very well. Ben is alot like Beast Boy with his chaotic nature, and Raven never handles Beast Boy's antics well And when that bottled chaos has access to over a dozen different forms, it's even less predictable. I think Raven would be terrible at managing Ben, just as much as anyone else
@@crusaderknight4469 No. One of the creators awhile back confirmed some rules and I think these rules ended up being defined in the show Ben cannot transform into a species if it is too genetically similar to him. So, you could not use the Onnitrix to turn into a human of the opposite sex, or a demihuman, or your sister. I’m not sure what the protocol would be if Ben were to attempt to scan human DNA Chances are it wouldn’t do anything since Bens DNA is already logged in the omnitrix which already recognizes his species. So it would likely just consider it already acquired DNA and ignore the scan entirely Although that raises the question How close is Raven to human?
Wait, hold up. You voice these two characters? I feel a combination of emotions leaving this comment. A little embarassed (my fault) Excited Curious Impressed and most of all thankful. Your voice helped me set a personal record I probably shouldn't speak too much about here
Gwen: *lists all kinds of accomplishments that no ordinary girl her age could possibly achieve* Raven: *Deadpan stare* “Meh, sounds like a Tuesday to me....”
Literally two of my fave characters from their respective shows. and honestly, I think you nail not just their personalities, but the dynamic they'd probably have as friends. I love it.
Raven: "Aaaaa" Gwen: "Very funny Raven, I'm not a child anymore!" Me: "FOR CHRIST'S SAKE, YOU'RE GONNA LET IT MELT!" Also its very faint, but the sound of Raven scooping out that first spoon of icecream was quite satisfying.
-Adept at the arcane arts -Saved the world countless times -Survived a possession by an extra-dimensional demon -Helped foil the plans of an intergalactic overlord -Beat a master magician (granted, without his dumb niece) I get that this is most likely the joke, but I love how everything Gwen listed is on Raven's resume as well.
Ben: The arcane arts *I* helped you get, the countless times *I* did myself, the demon *You* hacked out of my Omnitrix, the overlord *I* have a rivalry with, the master magician *I* saved your ass from, and the 5 hours you spent whining, dweeb If anything I disserve that ice cream more than you
@@minekurtmininer216 well that’s how ten year old Ben would have reacted older Ben wouldn’t call her a dweeb but he would slightly rub it in her face only in a more respectful manner 😂
As a hobbyist 3D artist/animator, I can appreciate the little things that may go unnoticed by some, like at 0:10 when Raven scoops up some ice cream which is an effect that to me is nothing short of sorcery. It looks amazing and the animation is just so smooth and beautifully done. I love it.
Yep, that impressed me, too. I dunno how they did it. Just animated two seperate bodies of ice cream (which were purposfully made to look like one piece) to split off like that, or was it a fluid sim or something? Who knows.
You can kind of see the reflections and shadows on the ice cream shift when the scoop comes off, but it’s only barely noticeable after spamming the replay on that :10 mark
I know nothing about 3D animation beyond some vague recollection of modelling classes taken back in highschool, but I know the trick he managed here. Go to 0:09 and pause, then use the < and > keys to frame-by-frame fast forward and rewind. You'll notice that the ice cream maintains a consistent surface texture until Raven starts to lift the spoon, at which point the entire surface of the ice cream suddenly, mildly shifts. He used two models of ice cream that were near identical, replacing the model with a 'scooped' version as she lifted the ice cream, and had ice cream bonded to the surface of the spoon. Pretty cool though. The keys are really nice for looking at small details in animation on youtube.
@@EGeorgev Honestly, I'm going to guess that the artist that made the video most likely had used Blender instead of SFM (Source Film Maker) this time around. Hell, I can even tell by how the video overall looks.
