The southern street announced conditions for the reconciliation sponsored by the United Arab Emirates between the Southern Transitional Council and the family of former President Ali Abdullah Saleh.
The advisor to the advisory body of the Southern National Organization for Combating Corruption, Sheikh Salem Abu Zaid Al-Khalifi, expressed this statement in the southern resistance. He demanded that Saleh's family issue an official apology for their crimes in the south and compensate for the damage by returning the looted funds from the wealth of the south, which official reports by the United Nations estimated at $60 billion.
Al-Khalifi said, speaking about Saleh's family: "They own the city of Sana'a in Dubai, a copy of the city of Sana'a in Yemen, but a thousand times larger than it, in addition to the villas, hotels, and fixed assets all over the world, and sixty billion dollars, all of which are stolen from the wealth of the south and Yemen, and the Yemeni people are being eaten with dirt." Adding in a tweet on the "X" platform: "Unfortunately, they have regained the face of demanding rule over Yemen, and they are the ones who stole, looted, killed and displaced its people, and Yemen is still suffering from their rule and mischief to this day.. Indeed, if you have no shame, do whatever you want."
This comes after a surprising image ignited the southern street, with its different orientations and intellectual and political currents, most notably the military and politicians, against the backdrop of the appearance of the commander of the "National Resistance Forces, Guardians of the Republic" Tariq Saleh with the head of the Southern Transitional Council, Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi.
