Ahmednagar Fort where Nehru and other leaders imprisoned before independence 

Nizam Shah of Ahmednagar sultanate built this fort. Later Chand Bibi ruled from here. After Mughal and Marathas in 1857 this fort was in control of British Rule, they imprisoned here 12 leaders for 3 years.
Fort is under Indian Army control, only small area is permitted for civilians. Monuments require care and attention.
