Also the recall pose suits better school ahri and foxfire should have the recall pose of the classic one with just more glowy tail and eyes. I also really liked the old splashart even it’s less quality than the new one
idk why but whenever they do a visual update some things seem just so faded and lack detail, like Ahri's tails in some of these skins. Beautiful ofc but Foxfire ahri red fire tails looked better before.
i can tell you. Notice how the older skins that are cheaper to buy are faded and lame? Also notice how the more expensive newer Skins are still flashy and fun? yeah. its about the money (and maybe computational power-but i dont thinks so)
She had the old color scheme of the old summoners rift which was more cartoony and high in saturation whilst the new one has to match the new rift which leans to a grayer tone. Good example is old sivirs bright gold armor and new sivirs grey toned gold armor.

They need to make the tails more glowing, like new Arcade Ahri tails are dull compared to old. Foxfire Ahri tails need flames or just a firey glow cause’ they look dull too. Midnight Ahri’s isn’t necessarily the glow, I just miss her old tail colors… it was very midnight to me and not so much of just “white tails.”
The original 2019 Prestige KDA tails needs more details and textures 6:10. The tails look too smooth and soft rather than the crystalline feel it’s suppose to convey. The colors of the tails in the 2019 Prestige KDA ult form looks like bright white blobs 6:19 definitely needs more texture
The K/DA new tails overall need a tweak in the recall, ofc the old tails were weird with all of them moving individually, but something it was well done with them in K/DA's recall is that her tails balanced all at once towards Ahri's back depending on the direction she danced, the new ones only move till she twirls and kinda looks weird that they are just standing there in one position wiggling while Ahri moves her whole body to the sides, and it feels unnatural since in the rest of the animations her pivotal tail (the central one) indeed follows her back in every movement.
I agree so hard with this one, I feel like the contrast in Shading and textures/colours have been toned down alot, (Great example is seen in the Coven skin Back animation) The pink on the tail is less defined just like the lighter purple on the tip, Lacks that feeling of a genuine tail, they blend too much with the other tails and don't feel good anymore

I hope some of the skins are just bugged. Arcana Ahri's recall has less particles and details than the orginal, Foxfire Ahri has no tail fire/the mark under her when she ults is very hard to see. Arcade Ahris tails are very muted, star guardian is missing an effect under her when she ults. They look beautiful but it's like a particle file is missing.
I wish her tails were more fluffy. Also they took all the saturation from skins like elderwood, firefox and popstars. I miss popstar's dance having a little stage and her autos having small music sounds when hitting.
They need to do something about the effects under her feet when she ult, in some skins they don't move anymore or are simply not here, like the original KDA (her prestiges skins has the heart under her but not that one) or the star guardian one
I think for Star Guardian, they replaced it with the pink clouds that Kai'sa and Akali have to make it seem more matching and modern. For K/DA, it might be a mistake, since her prestige skins have those triangles that you've mentioned are missing. Hopefully they address the K/DA issue before it goes live, but the Star Guardian skin is most likely staying that way.
Buuut I liked Dynasty Ahri with no braid! And no fire tails kind of ruins Foxfire for me. Also agree that the skins need to be more saturated, especially Arcade, and that the KDA tails should look more geometrical.
Yeah I feel like they should have retouched it just a little bit (made the tails fluffier and smoother), it's still good but does look a bit old compared to the rework.
I assume the fire was added because her old model tail was very stiff (notice how the fire is kinda tacked on and not actually part of her tail). The new model's tail is very fluid and animated, adding fire means having to make it behave properly based on her tail's movement, which might be too much for the skin or system performance.
Thank you for the comparison video! - Foxfire needs fire on the tail back, color looks so dull compared to the old tail - Arcade tail needs to be more vibrant, the color also looks so muted - I dislike the stiff tail animation for KDA and KDA Prestige recall. It looks weird being in one position looking like a fan, should have had more dynamic movement along with Ahri's body just like the old one - KDA Prestige 2019 tail needs more texture and crystal clear like visual, they can't be these blinding white tails when ulting - Even with added particles, Star Guardian Ahri feels outdated compared to other Legendary Star Guardian skins, kinda even worse than the updated epic skins - Poor Spirit Blossom left in the dust with no heart tail animation on E, add it Riot!!! - Some floor markings from ults are gone. It is understandable that the purpose is to uniform the ult art style but still makes them kinda look downgraded
I hope they would give her tail some fur texture 😔 Although there's physics on her tails, it would be better if they add fur texture. It looks so boring now.
You can kinda tell but at last her walk cycle looks normal and she doesn’t have scoliosis anymore. The only thing I hope they fix is in all of her KDA skins the tails are too smooth so they don’t look Crystal-y anymore and add the fire vfx back to Foxfire
I really wish they kept the foxfire ahri flame animations on the tail for the rework. They kinda got lazy on that one. Other than that i love the rework
I don't want to be a hater pro, I really didn't like the visual rework because I feel that it has lost more than what it has gained, the tails seem less worked than the original and although I like the heart pose that it does when throwing the E, in I feel like everything else has fewer textures, it looks very spooky
Animations are very good, but the fact that she makes a heart with her tails when using her charm really steals from star guardian,And yes her tails do seem less worked on TEXTURE wise. Tail animations are perfect besides in her kda skins where they seem a bit too smooth for diamond/crystal tails
I feel so meh about this update. Like thankssss I guess. As an Ahri main, she really didnt need this (yet) and I wish this update was dedicated to another champion who still has pizza feet and fingers still stuck together. The differences are just not dramatic enough for me to feel it was "worth" the time and effort lol.

i don’t like how dull the arcane ahri’s tail. both variants of the old skin was so colorful. i get that the new one is more textured for a fox, but arcane is one of the most colorful skin line. i’ll miss it
i noticed during all showcases like this that spirit blossom animations don't fit with the other ones, is that intentional? like the charm doesn't form a heart with her tails and she's not floating during the ultimate. i'm fine with it but i'm curious if that's a bug or not
Since it was a Legendary skin before the visual rework, no its not a bug.Originally Ahri during her charm wasn't set to form a heart with her tails while casting it and was an exclusive animation to her other legendary skin Star Guardian before. Now podt visual rework the heart tails during her charm are a normal thing for her model, so unfortunately Spirit Blossom is the only model of Ahri that probably won't have the heart tail animation.
Pops Star Ahri did not need another Art, that old one is very beautiful, although I don't detract from the new one, I still believe that the old one is better in terms of pose, expressions and background.
At least they didn’t touch Star Guardian splash art cuz it’s literally perfection… imagine if they messed it up just like they did with some of them now I swear they have the power of making everything even worse
I really liked with the old Academy skin that the tails looker like a real read fox tail and now it has almost the same orange ombre as the foxfire skin. All of the skins miss their iconic texture, especially during R.
I dont really like the idea that they integrated her basic w and E animation for her 1850 skin, now the only thing that's different are the voicelines and the fact that she s sparky in her ult
League players are never satisfied 🙄 They cried for ahri ASU(me included) and then complained once they got it. Honestly the only complaint I have is the lack of detail in some skins.
Honestly. Firefox Ahri is pretty much the biggest glow up. The flames look so good and the back animation is so visually pleasing. Also the splash too is just so wonderfully done.
Foxfire Ahri was my most fav skin aestheticly, I immediately bought the ahri-versary chroma on that skin as well, for it made the flaming fire stood out more. The splash art was astounding and aggresive, very much suited the skin. They shredded this art work completely, and called it an upgrade.
Its a downgrade, the smooth animation and model doesnt mean she is still good, her tails need to be on fire or else she would be lacking the signature of this skin. The splash art is fine, good quality, but it doesnt stand much. Still there is time for them to put the flames and add more vibrant colors in general to some tails, like arcade's
Liking the improvement for Midnight skin. Old one I bought but then didn't like using coz it made it look like she was wearing a really dorky hood. Kinda wish spirit blossom did the gliding animation during ult, too, since she still does the old walking.

Besides the subtle animations changes that makes her more animated, I don’t really like the new stuff. Like a lot of her skins lack that uniqueness now, making them all look the same.

I don't know, E's animation completely erased the animation that was previously unique to the star guardian, her flying in her ultimate also bothered me a little, it seems that Ahri lost her wild and fierce essence, to become something more "cute princess". I expected much better splash arts (Opinion from a mono Ahri since 2018), but of course the animations in general are much more fluid and amazing compared to what they were, so overall I won't complain.
I'm pretty sure they made her fly/whatever it she is doing because in that one cinematic they made a while back showed her flying. The ahri fanbase was asking for it
Personal opinion but I find it sad that for foxfire Ahri and popstar Ahri that the best two reasons to use those skins were hidden away more. Yes it could be argued that the cleavage is still there but it’s much more subtle than before. If I wanted subtle I’d play the other skins but if I felt like staring at some cleavage… well that option is gone now 😢
the new splash for challenger is really not so pretty, it doesnt look like ahri, her eyebrows are too sharp and arched, the older one was much much better. WHY did they change it?? sigh

why are some of her particles kinda just gone? I really hope this is just like they forgot to put it in there or something and not because they genuinely just got rid of some of the spell effects. e.g. Elderwood W, Star guardian and KDA ult, or foxfire's... uh, fire.
Made a few things darker and detailed in dress. Her arm has feathers now (the one that holds the orb) And her eyes are now yellow. In the original they are blue. The gem in her chest was originally red now its yellow too. The comparison in this video is incorrect
I like her animations but colors and effects are much worse in the new one. Foxfire Ahri lost her flames, Arcade Ahri' tail is just dull needs more pigment and her prestige skins lost their glow this makes them look just like any other skin
I'm sad that they didnt keep the fire on her tail for Foxfire, not a fan of the new tail on Academy ahri, i liked the distict red fox tail, and the tail on arcade is lax luster. Hopefully they fix this
