Ahsoka Anatomy Explored - What Is The Purpose Of Her Head Tails? Can She Die If They Get Damaged? #ahsokatano #ahsokatano #ahsokaseries #ahsokatrailer #starwars
Back in the 90’s I was at a Barns & Nobles reading a Star Wars sourcebook that said something I’ve always found fascinating. It said that Togruta are feared by other species because there is a rumor among the galaxy that believes they are poisonous due to the k9 fangs they have. The book said it’s theorized that when observing a togruta hunting a particular bird found on their home world, they bite into the animal and it flutters and becomes paralyzed as if poisoned. Anyone who observed this immediately comes to the conclusion that Togruta administer some type of poison to their prey, but the book also said this may not be necessarily true and surmised that Togruta bite the bird in such a way that severe the spine of the animal giving the illusion of a poisonous bite. The book went on to say from the study of what is known about Togruta physiology this has never been confirmed, however Togruta tend to play into the myth and in many cases this helps them avoid conflict with other species as they fear being bitten by what they believe to be a deadly opponent. Just a little old school knowledge that I found interesting back in the day.
When Ahsoka was first introduced I was one who was skeptical of her story. I figured that if Anakin had an apprentice that we would have already heard of the Mini-Vader. I did not dislike her I just didn't understand how they would effectively add a character that we should have already known everything about. Watching the character building that Dave did with her, not only did I allow her to snugly fit right where she belonged in cannon which to me is legends, but she became one of my favorite characters. Her characterizations in the Clone wars carried me through her development from child to an adult in Rebels. I became invested in this character in some ways even more than longtime cannon characters. When listening to him speak about her, Dave's love for her felt as strong as that of a close loved one and his devotion bled into not only his creation and development of Ahsoka but our love for her as he did.
I went back and started watching the cartoons just to keep up.. But I think Disney is making BS, and terrible content just, To justify their App!! Moonknight sucked, She Hulk was the worst, Kamala Khan sucked.. The last 3 episodes of OB1 saved that series.. Mando Is only Good.. Bobofet sucked too!! The writing is terrible! But we are all so loyal and such fans of star wars we watch this crap anyway! I will not be renewing my 1 year sub to Disney next year, that is Fo Sho!!! I will wait 3 years and then pay for 1 month to binge watch!! Thats the way to do it!! I am all done paying $118.00 a year for shite like She Hulk!! LMFAO...
yeah, all of this sucks who asked for any of this shit? if Ahsoka was so important then why didn’t they even mention her existence once in Star Wars revenge of the Sith? that was the movie directly after clone wars some years later.
agreed man, nothing about her makes sense, when did Anakin have time to start training someone in secret- esp since he was still an emotionally challenged child himself with poor self control. Disney is just effed up- they are killing star wars i dont hate Rosario Dawson, but she is not the right person for this role anyway- i mean she is too old and too thick- i dont mean it to be cruel, but she is too heavy of a build to pull it off.
@@mremington8 I still truly believe that the girl who voice acted Ahsoka all these years, Ashley Eckstein, would have been an awesome choice for the live action. Many of the character's minor details came from Ashley. She knew and were part of creating Ahsoka's personality and little minor quirks/ticks. I read that the people who made the decision were basicly under the impression that yes Asley WAS Ahsoka through her development and bringing her to life in animation but acting on screen is much more than voice acting and they weren't convinced that Ashley could pull that off. I guess I would like to know if they atleast gave her a chance in the beginning for her to try and act it out rather than just assuming she couldn't pull it off.
She was never granted the title Jedi Knight. She left the order as a Padawan. The show has not shown when she was granted the title "Knight", let alone "Master", or any information as to if and when she rejoined the order. It seems clear from the Mando/Boba shows that she hadn't returned to the order even though she was closely connected to Luke and the new Academy.
The Jedi council isn't what granted knight status but rather the trials master Jedi was a rank till order 66 after it took on different meaning Caleb Dume was granted knight status by the spirit of a dead grand inquisitor the role of master is given to any who wish to train. long before he was a knight he was training Esra the only time this came into question is anakin who was granted a seat on the council but not (immediately) given the role of master but from day 1 when Ashoka was being trained it was under anakin
She did return for the battle of mandalore. Was given her dbl blue sabers. While she went to the battle- obi wan went to utapau- greavious fight, and the events of order 66 happened with anakin.
I believe that when she had caught maul and informed the Jedi Yoda was impressed and I think he saw her as a the young Jedi knight master before him now.
I assumed she knew the Sith language because of 1- when she was under the control of the son in Mortis she may have gained some knowledge of it 2- when the daughter brought her back to life some of her knowledge of the language was passed as well 3- when she was saved by Ezra in the world between worlds, and then returned to the sith temple she was able to study the language ~~ My first exposure to Star Wars was through Clone Wars, so I always loved Ahsoka and never knew people didn’t like her until I was in high school lol😂
I was 7 the first time I ever watched episodes 1-6 with my grandpa. I can’t imagine anything other than the movies being someone’s first exposure to Star Wars. I didn’t start watching the clone wars until adulthood
I started watching Clone Wars while it was airing during season 1. She is probably the best put together character in all of Star Wars...even over the Skywalkers.
@@LanSky187 I don't even think Anakin was the real chosen one. He might have been the chosen one for the Sith....but the light side gave us Luke to counter. He's the real chosen one
So what? The rank of knight only means they have completed their training. She is not a Padawan. If you want to get the details, she can't be a Padawan or a knight since she's bit in the order. But continues to do the work of a Jedi. The order screwed her over, not very proper of the council, eh?
I have to admit I was one of those people who didn't like her but came to love her. She however never became a Jedi knight. she walked away from the order before that. She was a general during order 66 but as an honorary position.
I forget the source, but that was Filoni's plan all along. To show her growth and character redemption from a hated entitled character to a humble redeemed one.
Good Video! But i'm surprised you guys didn't show one character that was shown a little in star wars epi1, clone wars and star wars books etc, her character name was Shaakti. She was on the Jedi Council. I remember she is killed during the order 66 sadly. She was one of the other Togruta's that was shown. Her Togruta Lekku were longer also in the front. She was an interesting character. you should add her in.
Wouldn’t her knowledge of the Sith language have come from that episode where she was in imbued with life force from the daughter of the light episode?
About 20 years ago, in one show on Discovery, some scientist said something like this: “I don’t like all these tentacles on the heads of aliens. What did they do when they were savages or animals? All this just dangled and it was very convenient for predators to grab and tear them off". I’ll further add on my own behalf that if the author wants to give a character beautiful hair or a headdress, then let him do exactly this. And having tentacles in the shape of hair so that half of the character's head is some kind of fucking slimy octopus is not only ugly, it's also incredibly stupid, implausible and cheap.
I seriously doubt that George Lucas put a ton of thought the anatomical functions of the aliens he populated his Star Wars universe with. They looked cool so they served their purpose. Pretty much sums up most any other sci-fi or monster film.
Yes, it's honestly pretty ridiculous to see the hyper-fans put way more thought into this stuff than the creators ever did. But hey, as long as they're having fun (and don't neglect their real lives in the process)...
Togruta were a subspecies of humans. It was harder and more risky to have children with humans than if was for the twi'leks, but not impossible. The problem was with their montrals and echolocation. And the stigma of being a half child of two different species.
Ahsoka was once controlled by the Son of Mortis. A being that embodies the dark side of the force. That connection to the dark side may have given her some understanding of the ancient sith language. That would be my guess anyway
Thought up after the movies but is an important character during pivotal moments that happen within the timeline of the movies. Say what you want, regardless of how good of a character she is, Ahsoka is a character insert to make up for lazy writing and creates more of inconsistency to the story.
They are shoto in this universe. lore and Ahsoka have referred to them as such. "Time to break out the shoto and give 'em something new to fear! Two blades-are definitely-better than one!" ―Ahsoka Tano
smh I guess someone has to go there as a former star wars head "Togrutas were known to have multiple stomachs,[12] however, their most notable features were the large organic head formations upon their heads; two large cone-like horns called montrals atop their skulls" ect from starwars wiki
Hmm I always thought they added her to the cartoon as lolicon bait. And every time filoni adds another Jedi surviving 66 he cheapens the there are only two left lore.
Ahsoka was never a Jedi Knight, she was still a Padawan. This is why Anakin was never given a seat on the Council, because Ahsoka left the Order before becoming a Jedi Knight. Anakin was only allowed to eventually have a Council seat due to Chancellor Palpatine flexing his power, and forcing the Council to take Anakin despite him never meeting the requirements. One of the reasons was his Padawan never making the rank of Knight.
A lot of flowery and deep meaning words strung together as though to flow through a verbiage tapestry of fervent yet subtle meanings and transcendent and powerful feelings diverse in nature but unified in purpose so as to explain nothing while taking 5 sentences and expanding them into a 30 minute video fur no reason whatsoever.
very true, also makes no sense for the vid to talk on that subject given we have no idea if they are compatible at all, they very well could be and we just haven't been told so.
Well check out episode 3 and you'll see how they messed up the inheritance of the mother's species. Hera just gave birth to a normal human child "facepalm"
OK, you dropped the ball already... Ahsoka never reached the rank of Jedi Knight... she was still a Padawan when she left the Jedi Order, because they threw her, "Under the Bantha" when she was framed for a crime... ;)
As in the Star Wars universe, I would most definitely have been a Sith. I would have medical experiments performed on Ahsoka which would include the removal of the leku and montreals. When that is complete, another series of experiments to gauge the impact of the surgery (performed by a sadistic medical droid). Yes, yes... the failed padawan will get a "make-over" she won't soon forget!! 😂😂
It'd be crazy if she finds Ezra, like 50, but totally badass from fighting as a gladiator. In the other Galaxy. He could have a couple robotic limbs. Scars, and dual Sabre training. I'll play him. Lol
