Also, why does Ahsoka have such a hard on for finding the stupid idiot who loses every fight formally known as Darth Maul?
@imyouralibi6208

For real 💀 And there's really no reason for Ahsoka to be suddenly so obsessed with Maul. Though it does feel in-character for her since generally once she's given something/someone to target, she just steamrolls ahead until it's dealt with. So in other words, she's just being a raging idiot as per usual.

We know from comics that are canon that Maul escaped with help of the mandalorians from Siddius captivity but we don't know if it happened immediately, and apparently that wasn't the case. He first had to rebuild everything while remaining secret and then he came to Mandalore, and that was the moment Bo-Katan found Ahsoka

Satine: *wants neutrality* Ahsoka: *wants to lead a Republic invasion* The narrative wants us to believe Ahsoka is a saint, despite going against the values of others, nearly starting another war, and undermining neutrality between treaties of the Republic and Mandalore... Oh, as a side note: Filoni is the sole writer on this arc, so any and all BS in the story is his fault Ahsoka: You're playing politics. Also Ahsoka: *advocates to participate in a political matter* This definitely confirms that Filoni doesn't understand politics. Geez
@Omnipulsar

i do understand ahsoka did end up playing a political by leading the seige of mandalore i can see both sides on why its defendable and why it isnt but i will say it was bo katan who technically lead the invasion as she was the one who originally went against maul and then asked for ahsokas help and even tho ahsoka is leading troops to battle its for bo katan as she is the one who started the rebellion against maul and she was the one who originally wanted to get the republic involved. just wanted to bring up bo katan as it wasnt 100 percent ahsokas doing altho she did play a big part

Ignoring the audacity of Bo-katan to bring upp Satine to Obi-wan when she only had a problem with Maul because she was loyal to Pre Vizla who was pretty shitty or out of sheer xenophobia that Maul an outsider was ruling even though he won the seat fair and square acording to mandalorian rules hell the xenophobia angel is supported by the mandalorian. Tecknically speaking Obi-wan is respecting her wishes more by not dragging mandalore into the war and Obi-wan didn't exactly always agree with this belife of Satines. Now sure Maul is ruling but that is still Bo-katans fault. Ahsoka having a hate boner for Palpatine makes little sense like we the audience know he is a scumbag but for Ahsoka its only pettyness that he was doing his job after she completley failed to make any good points about her innocence. Witch means that she is willing to let the civillians on Coruscant to suffer because of her dislike of Palpatine. And hell even Ignoring the politics part Palpatine id the head of state with emergency powers who has been kidnapped and the capital is under attack anyone with a ounce of logic in their heads would go to Coruscant.

It would've made more sense in this arc if Bo Katan begged the Republic Senate for an army during the Outer Rim Sieges, and it would be Palpatine, not Kenobi, who gives her the approval, because he wants Maul gone, and he doesn't give a damn about Satine's will that Mandalore remain separate from the Republic. Not to mention that he'd be able to manipulate this situation to put Mandalore within the Republic's grasp as it slowly becomes the Empire. The Republic assembles a new clone force for the job, they get soldiers from different units like the 212th and the 501st, they assign Captain Rex as its new commander, but since Anakin and Obi-Wan are busy with the Outer Rim Sieges, Palpatine and Anakin give Ahsoka a call, and thanks to Anakin's urging, Palpatine assigns Ahsoka as an auxiliary commander to lead the army for Mandalore. Also, this should've been set long before Coruscant was besieged; you could've had a long arc concerning the siege of Mandalore, where the opening stages, they're getting reinforcements and supplies from the Republic, but then in the later stages, they get nothing as the Republic capital falls under attack from the Separatists. That would be more suspenseful, since at that point, the Mauldalorians and the Criminal Syndicates would be putting pressure on Ahsoka's forces, only for their aid from the Republic to suddenly grind to a halt as Coruscant is assaulted by a massive Separatist fleet.

@@imyouralibi6208 And since Ahsoka is no longer an official member of the Jedi Order, she shouldn't be a target for Order 66. In fact, since she's Anakin's friend, Palpatine shouldn't try to kill her, since that would only piss off Anakin, whom he stated to Yoda is about to become stronger than the both of them combined. What Palpatine shouldve done is bring her to his side. If I were writing things, Palpatine would've manipulated Ahsoka to join the fight against the rogue Jedi, with him telling her that the Jedi have rebelled against him and Anakin, and that Anakin is busy putting down a Jedi rebellion in Coruscant, so he assigns Ahsoka and her forces to go to Cato Neimoidia to deal with a Jedi who survived Order 66 and has defected to the Separatists, leading them against the Republic forces. Since Ahsoka has no love of the Jedi, manipulating her to turn against them should be easy for Palpatine, especially if Anakin is already fighting the Jedi as well. The 332nd deploy on Cato Neimoidia, and the mood is tense, with Rex and Ahsoka fighting off the remaining droid forces while at the same time, trying to prevent clones from other Clone Army units from massacring Neimoidian citizens, since these people helped build the droid foundries and the droids that caused misery for the clones for years. They eventually narrow down where the Jedi is leading the droids against the clones, and they discover that it's Plo Koon, who used the Force to shield himself as his Jedi Starfighter exploded after it was shot down by the clones. He defected to the Separatists and started leading their Battle Droid armies against the clones because the Clone Army was massacring Confederate civilians, encouraged by Coruscanti officers who were leading the Clones after Plo was shot down and relieved of command. Ahsoka and Plo get into a duel where Ahsoka is still mad at the Jedi, and she repeats Palpatine's story about how the Jedi tried to take control of the government, but she wants Plo to surrender, to join her and Anakin in bringing order to the galaxy, and Plo says that he can't surrender, since it's a Jedi's duty to protect the innocent. Since Plo isn't backing down, Ahsoka is forced to keep fighting until she unwittingly strikes down her old friend, who tells her ''may the Force be with you'' as he expires. Tears run down Ahsoka's cheeks, and she screams in despair at the sky for having been forced to kill her old friend. Rex, meanwhile, has his battered and weakened battalion try to stop the massacre of Separatist civilians, but the angry and disillusioned clones along with their Coruscanti officers, who were there before him, don't listen. It gets so bad that it turns into a shootout between the clones who were already there and the weakened, battered remnants of the 332nd, still tired from their fight against the Mauldalorians. And obviously, it ends with the 332nd having to pull back as the other clone legions are rolling right through them. Rex and Ahsoka lure the assaulting clone legion to a part of the city with a large reactor, and the 332nd detonate it, causing the city to explode and for the massacring clones to be vaporized along with their officers. But at that point, Ahsoka and Rex have seen the true face of the Republic under Palpatine, and they find out from a dying officer that Palpatine gave them his permission to slaughter the civilians. Realizing that they cannot come back to Palpatine after he allowed the massacre of the innocent, Rex, Ahsoka, and what few men they have left leave the ruins city, with the rest of the Republic thinking that it was Plo Koon who blew the place up to kill them all. There you go. I just wrote a better Order 66 arc for Ahsoka than what the show made. In about five minutes.

It's obvious that's what he *wanted* it to be, but that's not what it was for the first several seasons, since George intended for it to focus on Anakin and Obi-Wan, which it did. Though as the seasons progressed, the focus clearly started to shift more to Ahsoka as Filoni gained more control. It's just maddening to see Ahsoka simp for the very same people whom she saw blowtorch a village for giggles. She really shouldn't be friends with Bo and her people. I mean, shit, the most important interaction between Bo and her was that Bo slapped her ass once and they fought in that snow planet. She also forgot that A TRILLION PEOPLE live on Corucsant, so protecting it from the Droid Army makes perfect sense; even if the Chancellor was already dead from the invasion, Kenobi and Skywalker would be honor-bound to go back home and defend the capital, to defend the Jedi Temple and the trillion people who call Coruscant their home planet.

@@imyouralibi6208 There's also the fact that Maul HASN'T DONE ANYTHING to Mandalore that is harmful at all. Yes, he's a dick, and yes, he rules Mandalore, but now, under him, Mandalore has become a militarized nation; according to the comics that are canon with TCW, they've fought off the Separatists multiple times. Mandalore now has an armed population, and the Shadow Collective is supplying Maul with the funds needed to make sure Mandalore runs well. Remember, at one time, Satine's Mandalore was having problems with supply lines to keep their people fed; now Maul has control over criminal syndicates who have their own supply lines that can guarantee food and other necessities come to Mandalore on time. Also, the average Mandalorian civilian isn't hurt at all by Maul's rule. So Bo-Katan and Ahsoka trampling over a treaty and invading a neutral nation was all pointless. Most of the people don't even know Maul is in charge; they all look to Almec as their leader, and he's been the Prime Minister for years. And he's saying that the Republic are invaders. So from the average Mandalorian civilian's point of view, yes, the Republic are invaders, and yes, Bo-Katan is a traitor.

Ah, you're one of those people who believe the dictionary is infallible. I'll have you know that the Mary Sue definition was in place long before the dictionary, and the dictionary dumbed it down from its original meaning. Ofc you didn't know that, since you have obviously not done a lick of research before spouting BS. The Mary Sue definition (original) is a character who is usually female, lacking any meaningful flaws the character would grow out of, extremely beautiful, idealized by the author, serves as wish fulfillment, liked or respected by other characters even when undeserving, and gaining powers inconsistently, showing improper growth. Ahsoka fits the criteria, she IS a Mary Sue. Nothing you say is going to change that. YOU are not the one who spent time on analysis, writing, critique as these wonderful sisters have. You did no research before commenting your ignorance, you have no right to correct people about something you were incorrect about to begin with. "She doesn't have any powers that come out of nowhere" Pulling ships down with her bare hands, the ability to sense others' thoughts just by touching the object that the other touched, beating characters stronger than her, or losing to characters weaker than her. You've very clearly not done your research... AGAIN.

@@ECSOrder66Maul didn't want to kill her and Grievous is stronger than Ahsoka. You might think the new ability from the Ahsoka series came out of nowhere, but another 13 years or so have passed between Rebels and this series. She may well have learned new skills during that time

6:11 You don't understand that characters develop over the course of the story, do you? If a character does not develop further during the story, it's a sh*ty character or a stubborn one
@imyouralibi6208
@imyouralibi6208 3 месяца назад
Wow, you don't seem to understand character writing at all. Firstly, where was there any indication whatsoever that Obi-Wan was undergoing an arc regarding his view of the war? Secondly, even if he was, the scene in question would show that it's a *negative* arc, which completely goes against Obi-Wan's character given he's a very model/by-the-book sort of Jedi. (A.K.A. it'd be bad character writing) Thirdly, a character who doesn't undergo any change throughout the story is known as a flat character, and they are a completely valid/good type of character. I guess you just hate 90% of side characters then since side characters are generally flat?
@Auvas_Damask

@@imyouralibi6208Then you shouldn't like how Rex has developed, because in the first few seasons he was also someone who followed the book, but that has changed. And just as Anakin influenced Rex, Anakin influenced Obi-Wan.

The difference is that Rex is confined only to this show, and the following shows after. He is in none of the films. What you neglected to mention is that even in ROTS, Obi-Wan is STILL "by-the-book", showing that he didn't go through a change in TCW that would impact his character from here on. It's just bad writing. Context is key, learn to understand it before correcting others.@@Auvas_Damask

@@Auvas_Damask Rex wasn't a prominent character in the prequels and so his character doesn't have to line up with those movies. But Obi-Wan is and does. Also, I'm still waiting for you to point out any consistent signs of a negative character arc for Obi-Wan...

I'm at minute 1:40 and you're already getting on my nerves. Yes, Satine didn't want the Republic on her planet, but Satine's leadership made it necessary in the first place.

Please explain how Satine's leadership somehow made it "necessary" for the Republic to invade her planet in violation of 100 year old treaties.

Tinestamp provided doesn't even talk about that. The timestamp you gave is about Grievous being referred to as a droid by the narrator, which is canonically not true. He is a cyborg, he has human organs that we see in ROTS. You ironically chose the timestamp where they shouldn't have gotten on your nerves, when that timestamp wasn't even the reason they got on your nerves. They are being factual.

@@imyouralibi6208Satine ensured that the death watch existed in the first place because she banished them to the moon Concordia. And that ensured that this death watch would eventually meet Maul and Savage and they would take over the greater part of the death watch. And that made it necessary for the Republic to come to help, because Bo-Katan and her squad were simply too small for the job. Besides, the Republic didn't just help without question, they were asked to do so and Obi-Wan even said no beforehand because of the contract.
@Auvas_Damask

@@imyouralibi6208And now that this was running in the background I would also like to address this, Anakin is known to have an ability that allows him to see into the near future, which is why he survived the pod race, among other things. This is also described in novels. This is not a plot armor but an ability that he has, and I think it's a shame that you don't even know about it.

@ECSOrder66
@ECSOrder66 2 месяца назад
@@JDog2656 You just said it... a joke... about a concussion. Completely disgusting. It was very clearly intended to be witty banter, but in context, that is completely inappropriate. His exact dialogue is "Wait, wasn't I flying? Where's my fighter? How'd I get here?" He very, very clearly needed medical help if he hit his head that hard when he doesn't even remember the fact that he got a concussion to begin with. But the show writers gloss over that and make Ahsoka the self-righteous "hero" who apparently takes no notice of it. This show goes out of its way to make some horrible situations out to be... humor. Another perfect example is when Ahsoka belittles Anakin while he's trying to make light humor of his trauma as a slave. Someone making a joke of their own trauma is fine, it's a coping mechanism. Someone making a joke of someone else' trauma is incredibly insensitive. But again, the show glosses over it, because "light banter funny"

@@ECSOrder66 it’s an action adventure. They don’t usually fixate on that kinda stuff.
@ECSOrder66
@ECSOrder66 2 месяца назад
@JDog2656 Then they shouldn't put the characters in those situations if they will just brush it off. ESPECIALLY if they write a character to be effected by the situation, while the other suffers nothing. Because as shown here, the one who didn't suffer is playing "hero", instead of getting the one who did suffer some needed help. It's entirely self-righteous. If an action-adventure show doesn't even do the bare minimum of writing the one who is not effected by the situation to SUGGEST help to the one who was effected, then don't even put your characters into a situation that you know would be unrealistic for what you're trying to do. As stated, the bare minimum they could've done is have Ahsoka say "Master, are you ok?" and Anakin may just say that he's fine. But if they weren't going to write that at all, just don't put the characters in that situation where Anakin WOULD need help, if you're not even going to have your characters get him help.
