An Air Handling Unit (AHU) is a crucial component in HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems that regulate the air quality and temperature within a building. AHUs work by circulating and conditioning the air, including cooling or heating it, filtering it, and distributing it to different areas of a building through a network of ducts.
AHUs are made up of several components, including fans, filters, heating or cooling coils, humidifiers or dehumidifiers, and control systems. The fans in AHUs draw in outside air or recirculate indoor air, which is then filtered to remove impurities such as dust and pollen. The air then passes over the heating or cooling coils, where its temperature is adjusted to the desired level. If necessary, humidifiers or dehumidifiers can also be used to regulate the humidity levels in the air.
The control systems in AHUs are responsible for monitoring the air quality and temperature, and adjusting the AHU's operation accordingly. This can include adjusting the fan speed, adjusting the temperature of the heating or cooling coils, or turning on humidifiers or dehumidifiers.
AHUs are used in a wide range of buildings, including offices, hospitals, schools, and industrial facilities. They are essential for maintaining a comfortable and healthy indoor environment, by providing fresh air, regulating temperature and humidity levels, and removing pollutants from the air.
Overall, AHUs play a critical role in HVAC systems, and are an important part of maintaining a comfortable and healthy indoor environment.

Can you explain ahu working in accu unit.. i mean with freon refrigerant cooling system.. most of the videos are with chilled water system... also the crac units..

In most of the commercial building the Chilled water leaving from the Chiller to AHU at 6°C.

What about the fresh air? Don't need to add fresh air to the AHU? Only circulating the same air??

At the end I have mentioned about the fresh air. We should add fresh air in the AHU to keep the oxygen level inside the building.

Humidifier is not used inside the AHU. The Humidifier is installed outside and the steam only conveyed into the AHU the through the pipeline. But not all the AHU has the humidifier. It's based on the requirement.

The return air temperature is depends on the many factors like heat production in the room. But in a office room the temperature vary between 22°C to 26°C.

NOTHING is said about relative humidity or condensate. If moisture is removed from the air then the relative humidity is 100%.
