imagine you were invited to make a new gg with the promise that you have full cooperation and creative decision but then the company hired other trainees behind your back and force you to include them in your gg lineup. when you disagree to this the company starts to belittle and sabotage your project, used your name to promote their new gg without your permission, pushing back your gg's debut date when your gg was supposed to debut 1st and then refusing to properly promote when your gg debuted. and when your gg becomes more successful than the 1st gg, your company makes a new gg and plagiarized all your gg's aesthetics and concept just to show you that they can and make that new gg a direct competition to your own gg that you have worked hard to build up. then when you formally file an internal complain against the plagiarism, which was first raised by the gg members concerned parents, the company starts a public smearing campaign against you literally days before your gg is scheduled to make a comeback! if that doesn't spell SABOTAGE, then i don't know what is! if i were MHJ i would be really pissed too!!!

Blackpink is super famous because it is not very Korean. The members have international vibe from the start. Aussie Rosie, Thai Lisa, Jennie who grew up in NZ and Jisoo who likes being straight forward and does not try to have a cutie personality like those Korean GG. Blackpink was just something new and fresh at that time that their personalities were very different from typical Korean. And that makes them outstanding and attractive.

@@llllllll1989 okay first of all I didn't start anything I've literally been supporting Illit since day one and I love their songs magnetic and my world, second of all the only difference is the sound they produce (illit is pluggnb/anime and NewJeans is a mix of a bunch of different genres such as jersey club, alternative/contemporary RnB, late 90s early 2000s RnB) Other than that illit is an exact copy of NewJeans from the styling, the marketing down to the choreographies and it's clear HYBE wants to profit from the success of NewJeans by creating another group with that easy listening sound, that replayability that goes viral on platforms like tik tok An honestly I don't blame them, I mean business is business In any case, this is none of the girls faults, so the hate shouldn't be directed at them but at the creative director behind Belift Lab and Bang Si-Hyuk

Nah, leave Ahyeon alone, she barely debuted in Babymonster after her hiatus. It's just a dress, worn once, they had different outfits for every single stage. Now she had more of a silver dress, but Chiquita also wore a silver skirt. In other performances, her colour palette was the same like other members, or her outfit wasn't that standing out.

And I shared the song to my friends, they too felt and we were discussing, this new gg is Newjeans 2.0. Magnetic is super catchy and easy to listen but I wish it was Newjeans song rather than Illit's. Anyways this is my opinion.
My (substantive) two cents on Ahyeon 'debuting solo' as speculated here: The dress color difference is most probably just a contrasting effect to highlight her Center position within the group. There was no clear cut uniformity among their outfits since they began stage performances and this is just another case of such. And to be more reasonable, it is way too early to have her debut solo. The girl already struggled with her earlier stint as a pre-debut prospect before their 'Batter Up' era and I am quite sure that their management understood that the pressure for Ahyeon-young as she is-will be too much to handle. Just let the girl coalesce within their groupʼs dynamics first before hyping unnecessary speculations. She is going to need the collective force of BABYMONSTERʼs fame as a backbone to establish herself as a K-Pop idol, first and foremost. Please create content responsibly. Thatʼs all.

Here's how I see the whole NewJeans situation... 1. Hybe (through BSH) had a specific vision for the girl groups and wanted to promote through Le Sserafim 2. MHJ had her own vision as Chief Brand Officer for Hybe and wanted to bring forward a concept/her vision. 3. Both companies disagreed and clashed on the creative direction 4. Setbacks caused Le Sserafim to have publicity issues. 5. Meanwhile, MSH noticed that there were a lot wasted talent in the Hybe/Source Music pool of trainees and requested creative leadership and ownership of her own brand (Ador) to exercise her vision. 6. BSH agreed, and MSH launched NewJeans out of the blue to ensure that she could capitalize on the moment. 7. The 'NewJeans Project' proved highly successful and Hybe/BSH got jealous 8. Seeing how it clearly worked and changed the industry's trajectory, Hybe took key notes and worked to debut ILLIT. 9. MHJ saw the concept rips and felt slighted because (maybe) this wasn't the discussed branding direction of Hybe but is now taking notes from MHJ's creative direction/playbook. ...willing to discuss all of this with you all and see where you are all at.
Completely agree with you. I myself was shocked when LSF and NJ debuted almost simultaneously. It is very evident that LSF's debut was out of spite cuz...lets be real those girls are amazing in stage presence and dancing and also have good songs, but definitely need more LIVE vocal training , whereas NJ were properly trained for debut. ILLIT's debut also seemed rushed as TWS just debuted under Pledis. I don't think 2 months is a proper gap for debuting another group under the same label as both groups are not stable and/or can affect each other's growth in the industry Either way, it is definitely not the girls' mistakes, as an opportunity to debut is very hard to come by. I hope none of the internal power struggle of HYBE have an impact on the girl's lives and careers.
@llllllll1989 I think he's not jealous of NewJeans but rather that MHJ is winning through her creative direction and vision. The whole battle is an ego play for both leadership teams and MHJ wanted to prove that her creative direction had value but HYBE wanted their vision for girl groups to thrive. Obviously, hindsight is 20/20, as NewJeans completely redefined girl groups and creative expression for KPOP. This is backed up with how HYBE wanted MHJ to "own" and back the Le Sserafim concept. Clearly she didn't want to.

low-key why am I siding with min heejin rn... whole situations just seems a little unfair to her which is why this is happening anyway. wbk hybe is greedy as fuck, its obvious when you see the shitty vocals of LSFM and Illit (the groups they're pushing the most right now but NOT giving vocal training too so they don't waste money on an already popular group even if it means they get hate), with new jeans being significantly better live as a whole.
NJ received a boatload of support financially, it was Min Hee Jin's idea how she promoted the girls even boasting her strategy to come out as a surprise to increase impact. She was supposed to help Source debut a new gg, but later on insisted to have her own label instead which Hybe funded and supported. Si Hyuk acquired Source because he and the CEO are close acquaintances who share the same vision , PD's words of "Min Hee Jin group / gg" got into MHJs head. Now she wanted a label, t9 debut a " Min Hee Jin gg" instead of just helping or working for Source because how else could she make it more Min Hee Jin than having an actual label. Hybe supported and funded her. She took Source Music trainee (dropping Yunjin hence she had to return ti the States) and staff, leaving Source understaffed, in debt and dry with resources (as to why Hybe allowed her to do that, idk) now Source had to scramble and debut another gg fast to keep them afloat. There def was an agreement that Hee Jin's gg would be the first gg to debut under Hybe but that was supposed to be under Source. Hybe could not let Source die, they already sacrificed and gave way for Hee Jin bu Hee Jin then kept delaying NJs debut (Hybe conducted the Hybe+ auditions for Hee Jin to find her desired trainee who aren't old and are pretty), Source at this point had to debut LSF to survive, they were understaffed that Big Hit producers who used to work for BTS and TXT had to work on LSFRM's debut cause Hee Jin took some of Source's staff remember, this also explains Le sserafim's short training period - they got Yujnjin back, casted Sakura and Chaewon (she was scared of this lmao). Really, Min Hee Jin is like that spoiled child who wanted everything for herself first, getting jealous when other sibs receive attention, even when Source gave way a lot, she wanted more. And le sserafim did debu first, they can wait for Hee Jin any longer, they are a ticking time bomb, unprofitable snd heavily in debt which explains Le Sserafim's low budget debut (but their fine now). Newjeans by the way received one of the highest investment ampong Hybe groups but it was Hee Jin who wanted to take all credited and gate keeped NJ from Hybe, she even go as far she doesn't want NJ to be associated with other Hybe ggs but has ni problem associating NJ with BTS. She did drop Hybe and almost took credit for everything, evident in her interviews (she was everywhere, almost made it about herself) which seemed fine at first. However, the espionage / separation attempt is not okay, even Hee Jin admitted that there was a plan and even a doodle but dismissed it claiming she never plan on acting on it which is hilarious , Hybe as a money-motivated company (just like all profitable conglomerate) ain't letting that slide lmao, they invested boatload of money to Ador to let it pass. Neither are perfect, but victimizing Hee Jin is not it. She is pretty well compensated too plus offered shares. She just got too greedy and too full of herself , she decided she deserve to have everything Hybe on the other hand ain't allowing that. Also, le sserafim would've been bigger if the Garam scandal did not happen. I hope it really is just a coincidence that Hybe groups esp its ggs, lost members around their debut and that allegations of her leaking Idols internal record and private info aren't true, cause then that would be so unfortunate poor Garam and Youngseo.
It is very funny how the whole Hybe drama is happening and New Jeans uploaded a new song. The attention that Min blah blah tries to gain and succeeds is ridiculous.
