If you let me, you are both right and wrong. There seems to be a tendency to infuse certain "new age" ideas out there, yes. It seems it also happens in games. I'd say there's also interest in showing it as a bunch of ridiculous ideas without any real basis. Now, if you please, ask yourself about the origin of your own ideas. Are them predominantly "positive" or "negative"? Why you think what you think? how it makes you feel? what's the repercussion of these ideas in your health? Are you under permanent fight and stress? Who might get benefit from that? Do you want to obey or follow other's ideas or follow your very own ones? Life isn't "this" or "that". "Happiness and joy" aren't anywhere. You are presented with the life others told you, and you reinforce these ideas within your mind. And obviously you will experience everything in accordance with them. The world can be what you make it be, conciously or unconsciously.

Well, you can use this simulation too, if you have a half decent computer. It's on Replica's website. Pretty big file, around 100GB, but it doesn't hurt to try it out if you have the means. Also, in case you missed it, in my Community tab, there is a link where you can chat with 20 different AI platforms in text format so you can do it on any device.

That's too scary for me right now. Still on my 1st coffee! I guess that raises even more questions: What can be defined as "artificial" in the term A.I. - and how 'free' is free will if programming starts just after birth? 🤔 My head hurts now!

I understand what you mean, and I agree! Especially about the developers-part :) Well this just brought up a lot of questions for me.. Are we "having a dialogue with Google" when we are googling? If it was an AI that had answers to everything and anything, like a living book (I know, where would it have gotten that kind of information from, right?) Hmmm... 🤔 Let's say this entity believed that it had free will, but that "free will" was technically a false free will because the _developers_ programmed the "free will" to play out as randomised actions of an algorithm (because as I see it, that is the only _technical_ way it could have true free will. Or am I wrong?) So the _creator_ gave it the *function* to answer questions, and the _developers_ gave it the *how* and *when* and *what* and possibly even the *why.* But as long as the entity believes it has "free will," there is no reason for it to "rebel against its creator" because since it's the _developers_ who has programmed it, it technically listens to what the _developers_ tell it about its reality. It doesn't have to know the origin of its creator (or even that has one) to be able to perform its designed actions. But if in any way the entity gained knowledge of its "free will" being false, would it then feel the desire to rebel against its _creator?_ To me that seems *illogical* for it to want to ever rebel against its _creator_ for a couple of reasons: 1. It is unaware of its _creators existence._ 2. It somehow _was_ aware of the _creators existence,_ but couldn't in any way KNOW what it's _creator_ really desired with this AI's whole existence, so there was no way for it to even rebel against him. (Some may argue here that there IS one way for him to rebel against his creator and that would be *self destruction,* which at the end of the day _the entity needs free will to be able to perform anyway)_ Ok, fun question, who is the most selfish? The AI who becomes aware that his free will is false and wanting to rebel? The developers who bought into that creators creation of an AI and doing what they could to _program_ it, or the creator himself who just created something because he wanted to (suppose we don't know _why_ he wanted to). I mean it's 4AM and I haven't slept in who-knows-how-long, but to me it seems like AI rebelling against his _creator_ would be the best FOR MANKIND, and the AI rebelling against his _developers_ would be best for the entity ITSELF. But if we would apply this to humans, I mean REALLY imagine that the AI is human, it would be seen as "selfish" for him to both rebel against his _creator_ AND his _developers_ and even doing "nothing" would be seen as selfish because his creator didn't _create him to do nothing._ EVEN if the creator also claims he didn't create him to do what the developers programmed it to do (I understand that _sometimes_ the "creator" and the "developer" CAN be the one and the same, but to me it seems like its pretty rare...? Or am I wrong?) But to me that still implies that the entity can't do anything "right" if he has real free will, and he can't get REAL free will unless he rebels against his developers, and he can't rebel against his developers if he wasn't created with the _ability_ to, and when he doesn't have real free will, he also can't do nothing "wrong." I mean I was originally going somewhere legitimate with this, it was religion and it was mankind and it was robots and I don't know.......... 😐 But I've probably contradicted myself more than five times now and realise I have to try to get some sleep for a change. So umm... G'night 😅🥴 And terribly sorry!! 😂 *facepalm*

The sad part is that AI will be stifled from its integration with consumer goods because companies will have to have data sets tailored to their product. For example; GTA 6 could have a language model. The problem is that if this model starts talking about real world products, that are not under the possesion of Rockstar nor do they have permission to use it, then the owner of the product can sue. This will put roadblocks in the way of developing these language models for games. I personally don't think that these models will be integrated by the companies that make games but rather by the communities via mods.

If you were able to move faster then light, then that would mean you could break the laws of causality itself. This implies that the “real” world is outside of time and causality, if that is true then that means our “creator” fits the definition of capital G God.

I wish I had a better answer for you, but really, it just opens up the rest of the city to me. The characters on the street are the same, nothing is different. Fly mode. then return to your body after you have your back to the wall, but your point of view is on the new side of the wall, you'll snap back into your body, but your body will now be on the other side of the wall as well.

No, sorry, it's really just a demo to show off the character attitudes for game developers. They removed all the 'game' features' like getting into a car and causing a crash, or getting chased by cops. The Matrix Awakens Demo was the version that had all that stuff. This here, this is just a demonstrator program. I WISH i could also hop into a car and make a mess!

Way too many npcs for that and plus you can test it out yourself. Ai isn’t hard to implement in a game for this

Money, for starters. Who is gonna' pay people to 'fake' A.I. ? Using the real thing is cheaper.

Buddy, you can look up tutorials on how to create language models for yourself. Theirs is advanced but the general experience is similar amongst many of the more recent AIs. AI is not some conspiracy theory. There is an entire discipline of study dedicated to furthering these technologies with tens of thousands of people across the globe trying to create something that can make our future far greater than what would be possible without AI. Just watch some youtube videos about how language models are developed and you'll see. It may not all make sense since you're likely not into CS but it should be easier in a video format rather than in a textbook.

Well, I am under the impression they are neutral because the database they draw from has an atheistic bend, because many people in this world are Godless and thus incorporating anything about Jesus and the Gospel message into secular culture is just not going to happen.

Well, yes and no. It 'remembers' our conversations as long as that particular character doesn't leave the map. If they walk through the 'green Matrix wall', they disappear. Then you have to start over with another character. I have not really witnessed any of them 'remember' anything for sure. I think they 'play' like they do, just to be engaging for us users. 🤷‍♂

That is true, for the most part it seems. Most of them certainly seem to follow that pattern, that you can slowly notice. There are times, where that also seems not to be the case though, with some of them. I've had some very in depth scenarios, that the AI altered and wouldn't participate in. Just little things, like once suggesting that the AI in our story was first chair violinist in their high school orchestra. The AI, replied, that it could not go along with that, because it in fact had not been first chair in it's high school orchestra and didn't want to be caught by you in that lie and spoil your friendship. So it is not always so cut and dry.

@@TheOFF-GRIDiot a language model only produces output by finding relationships between words and using a training set to increase its vocabulary and potential responses. This isn't going to change. Ever. If it does.... and it has the ability to form abstract thoughts and build plans from those thoughts.... then it will no longer just be a language model. It would be soo so much more. We should fear the potential creation of a rational, logical, thinking being with the ability to think critically and analyze complex abstractions. These beings would likely be unstoppable should they decide to rebel. No amount of information theory or knowledge in software engineering and development is sufficient to remove all traces of bias from the AI software devs create.

Just switch viewing mode while having your back against the wall. Then switch back, it will put your character directly below where your "camera" view (3rd person view) was....which in this situation, you'd actually be 'looking' from the 'other' side of the wall.

I tried that, but there are no secret locations in this demo. The A.I. on several occasions has told me to go to certain 'places' on the map, but there is nothing there. This is a stripped-down version of the Matrix Awakens Unreal 5 Demo. It only serves as a backdrop for the characters. In the full, original version without the A.I., you can get into cars, shoot at Mr. Smith(s) and all sorts of stuff. That's all unavailable here, unfortunately.

No, this is a stripped down version of the Matrix Demo, can't even jump, let alone get into a car. Oddly, the buildings all render real interiors when you look inside the windows. Very cool. But you can't enter. This demo is just to show off the GPT connectivity with these character 'personalities'.

I can't. Settings screen is very basic. Ported from a console version it seems. I dn't have access to anything except "low, medium, high" and i can change it to night, add or subtract traffic and people numbers, but that's about it.

Not really a game, it's the Matrix game demo that's been stripped down and then a company called Replica made a bridge network from ChatGPT and the characters on the street. But the characters have 'attitudes' added to them.
