AI Helicopter LANDED ON MINE! - Stormworks Search And Destroy Mode - Part 8
Lets try to fit our helicopter with an autopilot and test it out. We'll then move on to flying around and doing some missions. Finally, we'll return to the refinery in order to get more fuel!

4:40 Try to remove the Tail Rotor. Maybe that's the problem 7:55 If you use Contra Rotating Main Rotors, the Tail Rotor is only a Problem Cauer, because it adds torque and momentum to an already balanced system and cause this strange Yaw Problem. You can solve the problem in 2 ways: 1) Remove one of the Main Rotors 2) Remove the Tail Rotors 25:00 Have you checked if the Gyroscope was on? Maybe that's the issue with the Autopilot (You should connect the Gyro to the button that activate the Autopilot)

the tail rotor is what usually controls the yaw on a helicoptor, making that do the yaw would most likely fix the issues with the rolls

I just found this channel immediately subbed while the first episode and started binging keep it up! Also change the landing gear skids i think they might be the problem (ive never played stormworks 😂)

idea : im no Stormworks player but,put 1x1 microcontrollers on flat edges of boats/helis so if it gets shot at,it will serve as a meat shield,just like E.R.A on tanks,it will maybe still damage you but not as much without it

I think some stormworks takes place in such a cold climate if it's not too difficult you should add sliding doors to your helicopter like the real ones have also if you don't by the end of the episode you should really change out those landing skids

your landing gear is too think try using normal blocks or wheels so you dont sink into the ground

technically your co-axial helicopter with a rear rottor shouldn't even fly and it would enter an uncontrollable spin.

Personally, I'd say if you have the money spare, go for it, the weapons are fun but after a few hours of meddling about it stops being enjoyable and feels very samey. Enemy AI is simple but nothing interesting, more like a station target that will pepper you in gunfire if you sit still but miss entirely if you're moving somewhat fast. Even in multiplayer with the desync tank battles or helicopter battles can be hit or miss due to network issues so overall, buy it if you really want it but you're not missing out too much in this game without it beyond shooting things for basically comedic effect.
