I love how they always say "we just took millions of lines of text, millions of paintings, petabytes of data..." like is nothing, but that actually translates to: we took advantage of the blurry unregulated copyright laws on the web (which are still in development) to steal from artists, so that people that just get "ideas" can feel accomplished by letting a machine do the work for them based on art that already existed and someone actually made using their talent...
So like, what a neural network already does? All artists these days steal fragments from each other because the world is a big place, and we've been around for like 300,000 years, millions depending on how you define human.
@@DarthMadV World big place. Me brain too small. Me use chatGPT to do brain for me. Me like tendy. But now me tired because me think too much to type this comment... Me go to sleep now...
@@DarthMadV and they adapt it using their OWN talent, not someone else to create their ideas. The artists they stole from will never see a cent of the money that people make from this. Their talent will never be shown or shared, this is awful for forwarding talent
get your ego out of it for a minute. AI represents the SUM of human knowledge which is vastly more important than any ONE persons creation. Stop being selfish children.
Only the "Artists" whose creations are derivative in the first place ("like 90% of the internet so whatever) and bring nothing new will probably be, AI cannot innovate artistically or express full new conceptions of sensory experience
What is the carbon footprint of watching videos on RU-vid or owning a computer or smartphone or car or working a job or buying food at the grocery store or receiving medical treatment at hospitals or attending schools?
I'm sorry, but she looks bad. Like drained. Not well at all. I guess what I'm saying is you'd think if this whole future tech Ai world is as advertised, she'd be the most healthy and beautiful version of Grimes so far, right? ❤
“Because we all use the same tools, real talent can actually rise to the top.” “The universe is empty and quiet and wants to be filled with beautiful things.”
•Consciousness is a sacred stimulation indeed, yet the awakening itself is the human experience of suffering which has its own element of beauty in its own formation and ultimately gave us the molecule of the human spirit so it must never be lost upon us.•A.I. is a sacred simulation capable of slightly diminishing the capacity of suffering by expanding its capabilities in freefall ,just as vivid, ever expanding and multi dimensional as the Omniverse itself (As I refer to call it). I am currently working on a scientific thesis and novel on this very subject .Merging these two along with aquatics (which has somehow been left out of the equation )I think would propel human capabilities beyond our own perception. However there are elemental laws to our Omiverse that can physically and mathematically be applied to what I call Virtual Law.I believe in this technological advance but if we don't create boundaries as it expands like here on Mother for example, deep faking there will ultimately be consequences and this advancement will fall same as Atlantis.
Brain waves, massive data sets, ai - and all you get is an ordinary particle simulation projected on the walls..😬 They definitely oversold that installation.💀
Technology is not the long term answer. Its more fleeting. Organic natural mother nature will always be the answer and has been there since beginning of time ..
I sadly agree, I feel great is long gone... She's speaking from a position of privilege. And she really is living in another reality, I would dare to say she never got off the high of whatever she's or was consuming. This video start's off romanticizing AI but this is scary and will, if no one does anything to defend human life, eventually consume everything and leave us out of creation... This is not what they think is gonna be ... I don't see governments speaking about the impact this will have in our lives nor do I see them actively motivating ppl to learn how to use and or take advantage of it...
This is just a matter of time, ai is coming and taking over. Regulations will come eventually like the internet. But there’s nothing we can do to stop it rather than just help to make it happen as soon as possible.
I'm a dude playing a dude playing another dude pretending to be another dude playing another dude people created AI and that ai "invented" AI and now that ai created a painting machine but my government tablet freezes up every ,5 minutes
Totally underestimated Grimmes was not expecting these answers Taking conciousness for granted same as we fail to recognise the impermanince and fragility of the present
Musk ruined her. He ruins every girlfriend he has cause all he wants is to breed. She had her own personality and was very hyped all the time. Now she seems wasted and lost.
Been like that since Musk. He ruins every girlfriend he has and only uses them to make babies. No wonder each time he is choosing even younger one. Someone his age wouldn't be able to stand being around him.
Geezus this interview is annoying and pointless. The rambling is just like a teenager when they’re high. She kept mixing abstract metaphysical terms meaning nothing at all into this conversation. I think AI can be used eventually in a way that helps us all create, automate, but we have to have a ton of regulatory laws because as it stands AI is being used to disregard and devalue human effort and creative, increase the wealth gap, make more people jobless and make those at the top rich. This was lazy reporting.
What??? AI doesn't need emotions to tell us right from wrong for the betterment of society and humanity at large; it can help us lower the wage gap by showing us how to properly manage our economics, or showing us that religion should not be in politics, or how we should eradicate the war on drugs, or how to manage resources, etc. etc. etc. People have no faith in new tech but are our systems really working right now as we currently stand? We need something to intervene and rebalance subjectivity and objectivity cuz we're mixing the two up at the moment
We don't need all these visuals to feel the great work that the artist is playing. If you close your eyes and just listen, every person will experience a different thing. The brain is amazing. 🙏🧠
Personally I feel there are things around us we cannot perceive. If we imagine there is something in a higher dimension that can perceive us but we cannot do so in kind. It's not a far out thought, we interact constantly with life that has no concept it's being monitored. Maybe in my lifetime we will find something meaningful beyond what has been created here.
I loved grimes. Admired her. I study sound. I fell in love with the sound of her laughter 12 years ago. Now she is lost. Her divine spark has been replaced with a deep sadness in her eyes. She’s changed her face. She can’t hide from me, shielded in Demobaza clothes and a cool elven techno disguise. Elves 🧝♀️ are spiritual beings and grimes has lost her divine spark. I’m sad for her. She will lose the ability to love and her godhead. The way in is the way out Claire Elise Boucher. I will pray for you. I listened to Art Angels today, you predicted so much of your own future on that album 🧝♀️ Change the way you see earth, animals, food, as your relationship with Nature itself is damaged . I believe in you 🧝♀️💯 In my daydreams I once thought Nico would be the best person to meet in a forest, but that person is now you as I’m very concerned about you. Peace be with you 🧝♀️🌏🙌🥚🐣🕊️
There's no need to insult her because your vision of her isn't what you see. She's a mother, a person, and someone who has had to make decisions in life. She's not a figment of your imagination. Anyone who sees the "divine spark" would see it's well alive in this woman. Stop.
I never thought I would say I was bored in an interview with Grimes , much less on the subject of AI. What is up with this? She just drones on and doesn't make sense. Where is her energy and charisma.? Maybe because it's on pbs? But why does she look so washed up and miserable? 😢 her voice is hoarse. The first reaction I had when I started the video was *she is on drugs* but I think she always was. Maybe motherhood caught up with her. I wish she would be genuine and say what is going on. She used to be so authentic. Still a fan. Just want to see her light up again. 🎉
just say you're misogynistic if you look at a woman in her mid 30s who's an artist and a mother who's tired in an interview and your brain goes to "washed up"
I don't need this person's opinions on anything. You can already make "professional quality" art with a bit of paper and some charcoal. You don't need "AI" (generative neural nets or large language models) to make art-making accessible to people.
@@kunaikat2232 That is such a bs line that AI bros have been spewing like crazy. You're exploiting people with disabilities to push corporate nonsense.
The heliopause, the edge of the solar system, is a 70,000F wall of plasma 100 million of miles thick. Then its 14 light years to the nearest inhabitbale planet. If we left today 1) we'd be cooked before we escaped the solar system. 2) Even if there are aliens there today, their whole planet would go extinct six or more times before we arrived. Just like we are in our sixth mass extinction event this very minute.
She seems like a nice person but I never feel like what she says is valuable. It always feels to me like she’s not really weird. She just acts weird because she thinks it’s cool.
I don't think the universe is empty and quiet. It's beautiful and only needs to be contemplated and listened to. We do not need to 'fill' it. Maybe it's her universe that's empty and quiet actually 🤷♀️
I miss the original and creative Grimes. I don’t think she believes her own words, she looks very sad and dead inside. Elon Musk used her and abused her. I pray that she finds herself again, she is a bright woman. I love her old music.
No word about AI being the greatest existential threat humanity has ever known... And no word about the deep philosophical arguments for or against AI art
I told my friend in art college to listen to music and paint their emotional response to it, let the music create the art, it wasn't as cool as this but the same idea. Awesome.
