This seems like the worst period. Even the market are now very unpredictable. Started investing recently when the market prices were a bit high,today I am more than 60% down!

Don’t be confuse buying the dip in a bear market, with guaranteed future returns. Just because that company is down 60%+ from ATH does NOT make it a sound long-term investment. Make sure you’re investing in great companies. kudos to Christen wilburn ....

Your talking about supposedly "human level" AI. But you are only ever talking about what the people will do. How the people will "use" AGI like it's a toaster or something. Your world model doesn't contain AGI with their own goals and agency. Your asking "what will China do?" but not "what will the AGI do?" And yes. I do think AGI is too dangerous a technology for China to have. And too dangerous for America to have. And too dangerous for anyone else to have. And not really something you have at all. Any more than China "had" Covid. Just because Covid was made in a Chinese lab doesn't mean that China controlled Covid. Once Covid was unleashed onto the world (probably by accident) it didn't treat China any differently. An AGI is likely to be similar, once you summon the demon, you have no power over it. Unless you made your binding circle correctly. Which is hard.

If you want to upgrade the human operating system, start with yourself. You don’t get to choose this for anyone smart enough to stand and say “No…and I’ll pass on the cookies, creep!” I’m worried this panel is suffering in delusion 🤦🏽‍♀️ This is worse than Frankenstein.
