Great voice, but this didn't move me in any way. Her best performance was weeks earlier, in my opinion, though I cannot remember the song at the moment. This was instantly forgettable.

TheNYgolfer As I mentioned, she does have a great voice, no question. I just cannot stand the song choices they are given in the latter stages. I much prefer the early rounds (when there are applicants who as bad as the likes of Jessica are excellent), i.e. when it's a cappella. There's too much razzamattazz in the big shows. And no, I've not got the time or the inclination to go hunting for something that I deem to be an unforgettable performance, I'm sorry. Happy to comment, but that takes but a few minutes; searching for a video could take far longer, and I've got better things to do with my time.

TheNYgolfer Regarding the blonde/blue eyes combo, you could be right. Who knows what is going on behind the scenes? I just didn't like her latter performances. Too samey-samey, growling and going for every note possible.

denniszenanywhere It might be because this song has been covered a million times and they all sound the same. It's a little too predictable. Don't get me wrong, she nailed the song and totally slayed it on stage, but it has been done to death by many people before her and many after on other reality shows similar to American Idol, as well as movies and various famous singers have covered it. Randy Jackson especially is probably the most apathetic. He has probably heard this song performed many times every single season since the show started. Not to mention he's a record producer and has been for over 20 years, and he has probably heard this covered a million times since he came into the industry. He's probably over people doing this song and wants to hear something new.

dnek1 Which is completely unfair since she her skills are wonderful. If they have a list of songs they are going to be biased against they should say it when they sign up. Because i refuse to believe that someone with such raw talent can go up their and slay a song and not win because they dont like the song.

+ashley websy Overqualified means she's too good for the job - it's a compliment and so for that matter is a beast - English term to say's she's awesome.

Idol is rigged and in the end, the producers get to choose whatever will get the show more buzz and the producers picked Phillip. They screwed it up for themselves. Because idol lost a whole lot of viewers after she lost.

I know this girl, I've seen her sing ever since she was a kid... she should have won the American Idol...

I agree but with one caveat. IMHO, it was/is the best performance in AI history. She not only hit it out of the park. She hit out of the universe. The only other performance that comes close is when she sang The Prayer on the finale.

Huh? She ranked second. She was obviously the one with the better voice (as compared to the winner) though.

+Ana best I agree. They're both great. I choose Jessica all because I think and feel that she's putting more emotions in her performances. :) Just my opinion. :)
