@@by_His_accord it’s definitely a souls-like. it has all the elements: - Bonfire/resting/checkpoint system - shortcuts back to bonfire - Enemy XP works similar to souls - lock on system works similar to souls games - there is punishment for death - similar attributes to souls games - level up system works similar to souls games - Difficult bosses with tells/windups & patterns - Bloodborne dash system - Bloodborne / DS3 like parry system - weapon level requirements - weapon art system similar to DS3 If this game isn’t a souls-like then idk what is
Could be good, definitely checking it out. I like how's there's no stamina system and you don't loose all your currency when you die. For me that's a plus.
Calling it saturated genre is stretching it a lil bit dont you think? If we hop on Steam or PS Store, there are dozens of other genre just being released as well.
@@khairulanam9352 rephrase what you wrote, its not a coherent argument. Dozens of other games being released doesn't take away from this souls genre being saturated, that just means other genres are being saturated along with the soulsborne genre. Im not stretching it out when Wuchang, Khazan, Hell is Us, and this are all souls likes announced within a month of each other.
@@Khaleguy The genre has BEEN saturated...A little late to the party? 4 years ago there was a cohesive list of all Souls like games and it had over 40 titles. Pick your poison or don't, at this point.
Close your eyes. Listen. Listen carefully for a brief of a moment. The swing sounds. The eerie background... the creatures hissing and item taking... Yea. Dark Souls reskinned. Aren't you guys tired of this yet?🙃
Your play(not to hurt anyone's feelings) needs more practice!! Interesting game. Just bad players. Also, there should be a bit more enemies in the beginning!
just because there is bosses and swords that deos not make it soulsesque game, equally can say new Nier atonoma like rpg action slashing game, in fact more fitting. Souls games = stamina based combat, strategy in aproaching enemies, learning moves and queue's, being patient and tactical, parrying, there is non of that here
Loved the Demo; especially since CODE VEIN is my favorite Soulslike game to date, but there are definitely some things that need to be fixed on the PS5 Version. I’ll say though that it’s a game that I will definitely purchase. 😊
@juliemesser2053 True, it's just not enough games. Have that 2d 3d cartoonish vibe like back in the day, personally I like those better games are getting a bit too realistic in regards to textures
it has everything to be a good game if they fix it, the game needs something to generate hype, combo, some sexy girl, some good sounds, or its going to flop 100%
Another souls like? I wish some day will come that the developers will understand, souls like was sold so much only with elden ring. Because it was the best of its genre. Now people are already fed up with its no difficulty setting and robot like movements all around including main character. This approach was more than enough with elden ring. So please do what you love and create something original and great.
The problem is its not easy to create something original , almost every type of game is out there when it comes to third person adventure game, and its risky to create something that people might not like, i mean if its totally a new thing, therefor developers have no options but to follow a trending niche, and the top selling niche now is souls like games, but i need to correct you in one thing, " souls like was sold so much only with Elden ring " that's wrong, so many good souls like games sold well, like black myth
@@aliahmed-x6k6n Pretty disagree...one thing I'm sure of is it's really possible to bring innovation, all of the actuals genres like Soulslike have existed because people thought about bringing some new concept somehow, and when you have something new and good in your hands you definitely know if it's going to sell or not...
@@aliahmed-x6k6n Yes you are right about this. Its just really becoming disgusting now, seeing every week a new souls like game. But I think you got the main idea. %100 originality is not possible of course.
That might be a perception illusion. There's only like 6 per year or so whereas staple genres, like FPSs or regular action games, have like 20+ each per year.
