On this week’s AI Decoded, technology presenter Priya Lakhani explored the integration of AI and data analytics into sports, particularly at Wimbledon, to enhance the fan experience and protect players from online abuse.
The All-England Lawn Tennis Club is using artificial intelligence (AI) for the first time to protect players at Wimbledon from online abuse, via an AI-powered threat matrix.
This innovation in social media monitoring can help identify and report abusive messages, with an emphasis on shielding athletes' mental health.

Do you really think tennis players receive online death threats. Maybe jokovich does but he's Serbian. They need to understand with the technology they have given the world the powers who be to do things differently themselves. They are trying to hard to do things the same way and it won't work now. They need more truth about the past how the world has changed since ww2 and more honesty about the future now. Otherwise us in Europe and the west are moving into a uncertain future agaisnt the world outside the west and Russia which was nothing like it was 80 years ago and in lots of cases specially here in Europe now over the last 30 years.

@@_ArsNova RU-vid still has things it needs to work on. Recently there was a news story about how RU-vid isn't doing enough to stop channels spreading misinformation. I think it might have been on the BBC, but I don't remember. Also, other companies are having issues with reporters and activists being attacked with hate messages and death threats on their platforms. I think the BBC did a report on that as well.

People in other countries do seem to have a habit of posting unpleasant things about sportsmen and sportswomen. The last World Cup was a prime example of that, all those comments about certain England players....
