This is the great example of how negativity will always win ova positivity. Kartel intimidated his way with allot of negativity in people's heart. Aidonia is more lyrical than Kartel thats a FACT! The thing is that super lyrical artist are never the most marketable, who sells more jayz/nas machel/bunji?, people have to understand your lyrics for you to sell. Controversy and gimmiks also sell music, Kartel has this on his side. I think Aidonia is wise in making soca though, because outside of Jamaica, where carnival culture is big, soca music dominates for about half the year, plus some stations play soca exclusively. To have hits in a totally different genre of music means he will have be in rotation year round in different markets and on mixes where Kartel does not even have a presence.
