The back to back nature of the events from Shinji on is largely why people say that Persona 3 has the best realization of its themes in the entire franchise. And that's saying a lot given the other entries.
@@raveoreynolds6049 I disagree, P3 doesn't maintain its momentum because it starts slow as fuck. It just picks up when Shinji dies and keeps it up. And I say this as someone who considers P3 to be their top 3 game of all time.
@@looneyluna96P3 is definitely a slow cooker. But it is part of the theme. Everyone is lost in their reason to fight, and it isn't until after you make better friendships with everyone that it starts to matter why you're fighting. The moment Shinji dies is when P3 tells you you're ready to explore its themes, and then it just goes nuts with more and more moments of life and death, culminating in the last month of the game, which realizes the main message of the game and keeps the ball rolling until its climax. P4 and P5 are consistent in their themes which makes you feel like they slow down, because it is more of the same.
I've always said this game has the highest highs story-wise in the newer games. The only thing keeping 3 out of my personal top spot is how slow the first half of the game is for me personally.
I love Ryoji : ( he's such a sweet, sad character. He really came to love humanity and his friends, and didn't have a choice in what he was or what he needed to do... he only wanted to spare them and help them in any way he could. He's so sweet;;
When you see Ryoji leave the room after dropping all that important info to everyone, if you look at his face, his expression changes from calm to worried. I found that detail nice since he genuinely does care for the whole SEES team

Persona 3 is a very deep game. You start playing it laughing of the events, but in the end you are crying... It's a game about life and death, about how people make use of their lives, how they find meaning for their lives, and how you deal with the death of someone you lost... Ryoji says that Nyx is unstoppable, because Nyx is Death and the only certain thing to everyone is that what waits us at the end of our lives is death. We can't run from it, we can't avoid it. It will come to us all. It's all about what we do with our lives, the beautiful moments we experience during the short time we have in this world... And the impact we make on the lives around us.
Well said. Friends and acquaintances have asked me why this game is so important to me. Why I thought it was life-changing the first time I played it. I just tell them, "You need to experience it." And every time, they come back, 'I get it now.' And, now, having dealt with very personal lost, it's hitting even harder. Plus, all the wonderful tweaks they've made just makes the story more impactful.
Ryoji. Oh yes. I've been waiting for this. After seeing Ryoji tell FemC that he would love her as a guy or girl and seeing how fruity they made Ryoji and Makoto in the movies, I was curious on if Atlus would be able to keep that same energy for the remake. I am pleasantly surprised. Unfortunate that Fuuka interrupted but this is a genuine confession that Ryoji wants to be more than just friends with Makoto and that he learned about love/being close to people thanks to him. If that's not a confession, I don't know what is. We love a bi king.
Shes all physical skills so it would’ve been tentrakarn, but i dont think he even used it. He just stood there. Technically he didn’t do anything the first time around either. Man stood their vibing while poor Aigis was fighting so hard. Even as Pharos he kinda just woke you up and warned you, never really hurting anyone.
Here we go, we're approaching the final stretch. The calm before the storm. This is when P3 shines in ways you never thought it would. I love this game. This was the moment I felt hopeless, and from here on out I was genuinely anxious, watching the calendar tick by as the climax approached me. Just like in real life, P3 made me feel the weight of time as it delivered me to the End. Truly a masterpiece. Enjoy the game, give it your all.
Ailments work on many bosses too, but fear/confusion/charm tend to not as they basically stun the enemy. And fear has the instakill thing as well. Fun fact in FES (idk about portable but probably) you could instakill Strength (the one you fight alongside Fortune) as even though it is immune to fear usually, the wheel can give it the effect. It's the only big boss you can instakill. The wheel has wildly rebalanced effects in Reload so it's not possible anymore. Charm works really well on the earlier multi-bossfights of Tartarus. Single bosses, never.
I can't take the December 1st Ryoji scene seriously after Faz uploaded the scene and the comment section went into this war over whether or not Ryoji was straight. And how we were overabalyzing him wanting to be more than friends. Nah bro, that's gay
People are so strange. There's nothing to overanalyze. In Portable he tells the FeMC that he'd love her regardless of gender. Ryoji having romantic feelings for Makoto is perfectly in line with that.
