Sir. Thank you so much for mentioning me so generously. I am but a mere student of you.. you are my motivation. It is so interesting to know how travel trade and Wars helped intermingling the pantheons. In old Egyptian theology Osiris is said to be the son of earth god Geb and Sky goddess NUT. Osiris himself is god of vegetation, fertility, death and resurrection. He is shown to be clad in green Rob. As we move towards Persia the Anahita is revered as goddess of water and fertility. It has a temple in Ardakan mountain in Iran. This temple is called "Pir Sabz". And here we have Khizar, the green clad Saint on Abrahamic tradition who takes form of Odero Lal and Jholay LaL as we approach Sindh. 40 days festival is celebrated there called Cheliho sahib. ماواں نوں پیرا بچڑے دینا ایں بھیناں نوں دیندا ایں ویر ملا۔۔۔۔۔ جھولے لالن۔۔۔۔

Sir temples have been later part of our religious development. As our ancestors had two most fearsome aspects of mother nature Drought & Flood. We had incarnation of Indra as well as Varuna. Both have mention in Vedas also. Now to offer sacrifices to both these gods you need to nearest possible to them so we have hills ( Indra - Cloud ) , Varuna near water River . Second is how the sacrifices will be carried to them , Agani ( Fire is considered as accepting and forwarder for the sacrifices or wishes ). When we have an Altar so top is not required as otherwise smoke will spread.

Much obliged senor for the background on takht Suleiman the native pashtoons I have noticed deride the punjabis freely while massaging their own ego continually even fantastically by spinning stories and ganging up when confronted I've tried keeping an open mind but much of the reputation seems well earned. Lovely tree the chilghoza pine

Another enjoyable episode with history. Missed seeing pics of top views. The yarns that the locals spin and trying to mix it with faith or Islamicize it now is unbelievable. Good thing you didn't go down to the "takht" as it seemed pretty dodgy. These places of worship of mother Earth was prevalent in that era....like Stonehenge? You can better elaborate on that.
