This is a demonstration of the seven aikiken no suburi as taught by Morihiro Saito. The suburi represent core movements of the aikiken system practiced in Ueshiba O-Sensei's Iwama Dōjō. These solo exercises accustom you to the basic cuts and thrusts with the sword. You can then use these skills in partnered sword practice or kumitachi. As a solo practice you can develop coordination, dexterity, strength, balance and internal connections.
