Aikyan has always blown me away with her voice and after Windy Stage, I just had to make this video.
There is an alternate version of this video where all the "Yohane" clips are grouped together and all the "Yoshiko" clips are separately grouped. Link here: • Aikyan vocal appreciation
Something to note, though, is that some of these clips are from the DVDs; therefore the vocals have been somewhat processed. However, some of the other clips are not processed. Personally I prefer her unprocessed vocals but either way, her voice is so angelic and just super impressive. I just wanted to be upfront about that lol, and let you guys know that I'm aware that some of these clips are not her raw vocals.

Sometimes I forget that Yoshiko has a high pitch voice because of how much she deepens it to talk as Yohane. Regardless, Aikyan does a fantastic job using her vocals to display both sides of Yoshiko/Yohane. I also think it's genius how the staff of love live incorporates Yoshiko and her alter ego into the songs.

even though yoshiko mode is still good, i personally prefer yohane mode... because it is so powerful and also so unique... aikyan is range personified... to think that she has mastered not one but TWO extremely different type of voices... and then aikyan being the mischievous mood maker of aqours just casually using this insane range of hers to be master at imitating her friends just to screw with them lol XD funfact: sometimes when aikyan and the sound directors can't decide which mode should be used for the song (especially spoken lines) during recording, they'll just ask aikyan to do both modes... aikyan won't know which mode will be chosen until the seiyuu are called in again to do final checks before release... for the recording of the april fool's yohane of the parhelion teaser, aikyan actually recorded many sets of narrations in different styles and they didn't let her check the teaser before release, so it was a surprise for her on the day itself too XD

oh yeah, one of my favourite of listening to yoshiko/yohane solo versions is to alternate the yohane songs with the yoshiko songs... like in the latest solo collection album i do "Kimi no Hitomi o Meguru Boken" -> "pikka pika ondo" chain... her deep cool voice straight to her most kawaii voice XD

@@serenatsukino5252 one of the april episodes of Aqours's radio (Uraraji) for the tidbit by aikyan about the april fool teaser for the general tidbit about how she do her recording, if there's fanmail to either uraraji or the monthly cross-branch radio (ANN Gold) asking the seiyuu about the recording for a new song released and aikyan is there, she'll almost always need to mention that lol

more funfact (since many people in the comments love her "shouts"): for the deep resonance ending shout, it was aikyan who proposed whether she could add it because she thought (correctly) that it would make the song cooler... the sound directors just went with her idea but they told aikyan that they will not make the others do it, so only yohane's solo version has that part... if i remembered correctly, the shouts during unstable world was also her idea for niji's CHASE, the shouts was also an addition proposed by tomoriru's idea... she got that idea from unstable world... so tomoriru/setsuna becoming that shout specialist of niji was thanks to no-indoor-voice aikyan who also uses the shouts as stress reliever lol (source: the Gamers X LoveLive representatives livestream by aikyan and tomoriru)

The contrast between Tatehoko Tsubasa and Meimei Tantei is just amazing. Aikyan has such a talent and it really adds a depth to her performance that isn't in any other LL girl, like you don't know which tone she's gonna choose or pull out next for a certain song or part.

I found about 10 Seiyuu who attempt to sing it high pitched and deep at once, only 3 succeeded, and Aikyan is one them.

I love both voices!!! Yohane's voice is smooth and absolutely gorgeous, especially in songs like Deep Resonance and Kimi no Hitomi o Megeru Bouken. But her Yoshiko voice is so fun and catchy. Aikyan is SO skilled. Watching her (and the other Aqours members ngl) perform is amazing and humbling.

Ugh Daydream Warrior and Kowareyasuki Yohane have my whole heart, Aikyan is so incredibly talented. Same thing with Wild Stars Soramaru, it’s a shame Nico didn’t have more of a chance to use her lower range (but totally in character anyway lol).

You realize Aikyan is very good because she plays not only a character but two personalities and of top of that *WHILE* singing. I love both Yoshiko and Yohane because that's what forms Yoshiko character, you can't have a Jing Jang with only the white side nor with only the black side

I feel like in live shows Aikyan tends to make Yoshiko’s voice more higher pitch than in the original recording which adds more to the performance

I’m not a fan of Yoshiko/Yohane as a character but I’ve gotta give Aikyan props for her live performances. Her vocals are very stable! I prefer her Yoshiko voice because she adds certain nuances that show that she’s really have fun with the song!

I love both, but yohane just has me on a chokehold (also im just a simp for women with deep voices) Yoshiko has such a high voice in contrast to Yohane having such a deep voice, it really makes Aikyan so versatile in my opinion. Yohane just gives me chills and makes me wanna just sing my lungs out while Yoshiko lets out my inner wota lol. But yeah, as much as I love both, Yohane just has that charm that makes admire her and really go all out in singing

Aikyan's singing is phenomenal, whether she is Yohane or Yoshiko. I would say I do prefer her Yohane though. One of my favorite singers in Aqours next to Ainya (all are great though)!

Honestly I don't really notice the difference. Mostly it's due to which type of song is playing, the rest of the characters also have a difference in tone
