The story of self-discovery and personal development has become a common theme among the new generation of pop stars in recent years. Aile The Shota, born and raised in Tokyo, has continued that theme after coming to the public’s attention through the highly-popular boy group audition program “THE FIRST”, which became Japan’s must-see national hit in 2021. His name, combining the Greek word “Lethe”, meaning a river of oblivion, and the French word “Aile”, meaning wings, family, and love, symbolizes his artistic and personal journey as a river spreading love, kindness, and gratitude with his music.
