He died after the sword was taken out but he kind of made "promise" with God, to not to be at peace (actually died) and he choose to roaming around between the earth and hereafter until she called him out back to life, meanwhile she didn't remember anything about him (God made her) but she lived in depression where she would cried everyday and at certain times , like she having pms everyday. (u know girls get sensitive during pms) but she found her old diaries where she wrote his name the day she pull out the sword out of him. fast forward, they meet again when she blew the candle (u know she can called goblin through fire right?) , from there he tried to make her remember their history, fast forward again they want to get married to each other but she died in accident while trying to save a bus full of children. u know she supposed to die even before born right? but she was save by the goblin and right before the accident she could feel she was dying and could've avoid to be run by a trailer but she end up choose to be in the accident cause she want to save the children. N according to budhanism or i don't know (their religion) people got three chance to live , n she hope she could meet him again in the next life , n she did. but the ending doesn't had exact closure its just she could live with him until the life chances goes by n him? he will live forever, isn't that sad?
After Yun tak's final death he will die too.Because he came back because of his contract with Yun Tak.When she's gone contract will hold no value so he'll go with her to the afterlife

You got to watch it, but be prepare for that scene in the rooftop, looking at the way you got I say be prepare. This drama is amazing, the writer is my favorite she has had a string of great dramas for me just a couple I didn't like, south of the sun, lovers, On Air, City Hall, Secret Garden, A gentleman's dignity and now Goblin those dramas have been my #1 for years... I know she wrote descendants and lovers in Paris and lovers in prague but I forgive her for those, I hated them...
