the issue is that many of these people legit are just dumb. They don't care about wasting their time, they don't care about wasting money. They just addicted to the gratification of feeling like they're better than others no matter the means required. So they'll probably just get a new account and start cheating (often getting hacked accounts etc that can be bought for cheaper or just waste accounts sold online).

@@Xenro66 it's more to do with, they know they are cheating and are scum because of it, but they just want easy wins because their smooth brain can't do it on it's own. Also that they ruin the game for the enemy team and some of their teammates who want fair matches.

I know it sucks to lose SR but I would've just thrown the game if those cheaters were on my team. Rather lose SR than get it by being carried by people who don't even deserve the win. Really sad for their shitter tanks to be tryharding the whole time.

If i get a cheater i purposefully soft throw, miss all my shots never use cover etc.

I think that's just a replay visual because you can see Pharah's body fall in different places whenever he rewinds.

@@tropicalattitude2258 Exactly, it takes all the inputs and hero selections of all the players in the game and recreates the match in the game engine based on those inputs, but it's not actually a recording of the match itself. So because of that things like the physics engine and ragdoll physics will behave a little differently every time. Since it's a recreation it can also lead to some weird bugs like wonky mouse movements that weren't present in the actual match, which sometimes can make someone who wasn't cheating look like they were. In this case though it's pretty obvious they were cheating. Flats also mentioned that there were times when the cheater's bodyshots were counted as headshots, but that could have been a visual bug from the replay player as well where the hitbox of the player just didn't match the playermodel.

that's the key. They want the gratification without having to put in the effort - usually because the effort would show they could never be as good as they desire. It's a mental illness, literally. The inability to cope with inferiority complex and a need to escape it by any means. Even if you hear interviews with most cheaters they'll often say they are bored and have a kinda non-desire towards whatever they're cheating in. They don't have the passion to motivate them, but they still have the desire to feel better than others, in order to feel better about themselves (aka inferiority complex). What I don't understand is, how they can afford to burn so much money. Cheats are not cheap. And one can assume that the accounts they use are probably second hand, hacked, or in other ways acquired through illegitimate means from 3rd party sellers. But still, it's an awful lot of money and time wasted on something that will never do anything meaningful for them. Like any addiction really.

@@Real_MisterSir Yea I’ve seen how indifferent they are to it, pretty sure they just enjoy pissing people off and ruining their fun. Thats all there is to it. There is no other way cheating can self gratify someone. Its fucking sad because people don’t even really rage that much against cheaters, we’re also indifferent to them cheating. Whenever I see one I’m like well I guess this match is pointless I’ll just wait for the next one lmao. Its a real mystery, I do believe they’re “bored” but more than that they’re just fucking annoying people. Its such a true waste of time for everyone involved. Devs have to stay on their toes constantly because some asshole who never leaves his room is “bored”, actual players have to sit and wait for matches to end with cheaters, and the cheaters themselves have to constantly make new accounts and use different cheats.

@@Pocket_Sora the funniest part is that the people who support cheaters in games are usually just as bad, if not worse at the game when compared to the cheaters. Reminds me of when I used to play TF2 and people wouldn't kick a cheater cuz they needed them to even do anything. It's honestly hilarious that with 2 cheaters, the match even got as close to a dub for flats as it did. Just shows skill is always worth the time and effort put in.

@Raul OW has one of the worst anticheats for any FPS. Cheating is as rampant in OW as it is CSGO.

@@EBG... Crosshairs were pretty much the same spot at close range, on my back at long range (with projectile drop). Long story short, Hanzo arrows are buggy sometimes.

Hanzo's arrows are kinda infamous for that, but it usually just looks weird because of latency.

@@gobbagoo Yeah. Due to the buggy nature of projectiles it's more likely glitching in most cases but the possibility of hacks is real too.

Liar was also contenders in the past and had some streamer friends who believed he was playing legitimately, so those were some good excuses for him. Kephrii is also known for throwing fits and hackusating, like he's hackusated an entire collegate team and multiple Overwatch League players and managers of hacking before. Before I saw actual proof of the hacks on reddit I just heard about Kephrii hackusating yet another time and rolled my eyes

I don't understand why people are so quick to defend cheaters either. Like the guy in chat saying "maybe they're not cheating" after Flats got tracked through the tree. I mean cmon, you can even see the weird crosshair movement in the kill cam and they're playing on a new account. They were more likely than not cheating from the get-go but for some reason people are so quick to be devil's advocate for these shitstains. Why even try this? Makes them look like a dumbass when they're so obviously proven wrong.

They'd rather let the cheater get away with it than look like they're just a salty loser, even if they're completely in the right. Cheaters of course fuel this themselves by insulting them when they try to call them out, but then there's also the kids pumped full of ego and bravado; go to any cheat exposure video and you'll see them claiming "lol these shots are easy. People at the top make them all the time, myself included." Its the age old bar room lie "I caught a fish THIS big" but for modern times. Combine both and you get a culture of people who think this type of gameplay is not only humanly possible, but actually so common place that it would be highly embarrassing to admit you can't do it, so rather than risk that shame, they just stay silent about the cheating and/or continue to perpetuate the lie the same way it was told to them. Well yes, Kephrii has destroyed his own credibility and not taking him seriously is expected, because half the time he's talking out of his ass. On the other hand, Flats doesn't accuse every single player that beats him of cheating, and shows real evidence that isn't just "idk man it just feels weird". Of course Kephrii is going to be right sometimes, but a broken clock is right twice a day. When someone has no credibility and refuses to admit when they're wrong, you'd be insane to take anything they say without a grain of salt.

I mean...they are, if they get detected of reported. Did you not notice that both the hackers had fresh accounts? If they get banned, they just buy a new account, get to lvl 25 , then hack their way up the ladder again.

I always take the W when I can. Next game the enemy team could have a cheater, or a leaver on your team, or a toxic thrower. You gotta take your W's when you can, it all comes out in the wash when you always play to win.

The problem with that is: typically, the cheaters disable their cheats or lower their proficiency when playing against streamers, this is why most of the time, in the cases where streamers play against cheaters, they find out about them from their teammates, since they probably saw them cheat more often than not. The only solution would be IP or hardware bans.

@@SpaceCookie150 interesting this is when users would come into play. Where as say the average joe gamer has been consistently correct at reporting cheaters they would be added to a fast pass list where a dedicated person will watch their submission and quickly past judgement.

the second thing kind of already exists, if the cheater is banned than the game is literally just not counted at all for either team, all sr won is removed and all sr lost is returned
