What a mesmerising performance! I used to find this nocturne somewhat repetitive, but Aimi's rendition is so abundant with interesting and refreshing textures that breathe new life into the piece!!

In urtext scores, there’s a very long RH legato slur running from bar 3 to 25 (!). Aimi got it exactly right unlike most other players in the competition. And her emphasis on LH counterpoints brought out so many colorful nuances. She has grown from a wunderkid into a real maestro.

I asked Bing AI to compose a chopin nocturne for piano and it came up with a forty measure, unplayable "piece" . Thank the lord. Still i wish chopin wouldve composed more of these beauties
