I'm a baby boomer and remember seeing these guys movies on TV! The 2 main actors did an awesome job impersonating Leo Gorcey and Huntz Hall of the Dead End Kids...aka..the East Side Kids...and aka the Bowery Boys! Ahhhh yesss! Those were the good old days.....
One third of the LEMON GROVE trilogy(with the race)was shown in theatres on a "Double Bill" with THE GHOST AND MR. CHICKEN, or at least that was how it was shown at the Coolidge Corner Theatre in Brookline, MA, with a guy coming out in a Mummy costume during the "Scary" parts.
Cool info. I saw "The Ghost & Mr. Chicken at the Atlas theater in Detroit Michigan back in 1966 at a 7pm show with my dad and it was the only movie playing (I was 7 years old and that movie scared the "yell" outta me!).
