No they don't. The changes that have to be made for film will do this excellent stage show zero favors. That's why people buy theater subscriptions. Nothing, not one thing, is better than seeing the live performance.
The kid singing Eddie's part should tone it down. Eddie Kendricks never had to pose or prim as his beautiful looks and equally mesmerizing voice did the rest. The voice over (Look who showed up) is funny, as well as truthful part of what was happening behind the scenes on that 1968 special.
I loved this show. Hate to be Debbie downer but theater etiquette demands that no one sings aloud unless you are directed to by the cast. And no yelling. It's not a concert.
What are you talking about? They aren’t singing loud in this video. And in theater you are supposed to sing loud so everyone can hear you… what you talking about?
I saw a traveling production of Ain't Too Proud in Philadelphia and they encouraged the audience to sing along right from the beginning. It's a juke box musical, it's expected.
@@pariss3921 This is 100% autotune. Go listen to LUFA (Vandross) live in his prime. You can't tell the difference between that and his CDs. No autotune and it's a clear distinction in the audio. Bruno Mars is a more recent person who can (but doesn't) sing without autotune.
