yeah the bath scene thing was just a joke. its a little confusing cause it didnt go into the details that were in the LN, but basically a golem was in the baths as a joke for anyone that didnt follow proper bathing etiquette.

Oh yea, and I just remembered something. Remember how Ainz "tamed" Hamsuke? And how he just oneshoted all the ogres/trolls now? Had you catched it was the same skill? It have multiple wariants (Ainz can use all of them, obviously): -Despair Aura I (fear). It "only" makes target very very very affraid, can cause temporarely stats debuff on top of that -Despair Aura II (panic). Just much stronger version of previous one, by stacking on top of each other multiple fear effects target wants to run away at any cost -Despair Aura III (paranoia) causes stun-like status effect, you recently reacted to Re:Zero ep 15 on patreon, it's something like the state subaru was for the most of it -Despair Aura IV (insanity) again, more powerfull version of previous one. In that case it's permament. It can be disspelled by a (holy) magic caster of simular lvl -Despair Aura V (instant death) like subtitle suggests, it's just instantly kills the target by causing hearth attack. All of the above in game were just debuffs. lvl 3 and above were super anoying but had almost 0% succes rate in max lvl PvP. Lvl 1 is passivly always active for free. Ainz have it disabled most of the time tho. The higher tiers being racial skills can be probably aslo activated for free, but there is very little information abaut it. Fun fact. As I said lvl 100 will basicly always resists the effects. However, when in s1e1...or2 Ainz accidently activated it, all the guardians, including super high deffence Albedo were effected (not feared, cuz all of them are immune to fear, but they felt the overwhelming presence of Ainz) thats beacuse the Staff of Ainz Ooal Gown, the guild weapon, is radicoulously overpowered and hand-crafted for Momonga, so wielding it his "role-play build" was accualy one of the strongest chatacters in entire game. The staff is so powerfull in terms of pure fire power it can overpower good portion World Class Items, however it's considered weaker, beacuse no matter how strong it is it still "follows the rules", when WCI can ignore them, or in case of "the 20" even change them. Example is very close. Staff might rise evectivness of Ainzs aura from "0%" to 100% against lvl 100 guardians, but it still "did nothing" beacuse of immunity. Meanwhile 2 volumes and 10 epispdes later World Class Item, wielded by "weakling" was able to Mind Controll Shalltear wihout much problems, when she should not only resist any attack from "low lvl trash", but is immune to mind control on top of that.

I actually enjoy you guys attempting to analyze this anime to a deeper extent. It goes to show how passionate you both are, which I can understand since Overlord is the shit. On a side note, there is a lot of stuff the anime won't cover unlike the light novels so don't fret too much. Ainz is actually a great ruler, hence the outcome is hilarious because he doesn't even realize that he makes great decisions.

In regards to your conversation about Enri at the start, Ainz(Momon) was in the back rooms of the building talking to the leader of the Adventurers Guild at the time. The leader was desperately doing everything he could to ingratiate himself to Momon who is seen as the strongest person in the city and now a top ranked adventurer of the entire kingdom. At the end of the conversation Momon added on like “oh hey theres this girl called Enri Emmott that will come here soon, she’s with me”. By this time the woman at the desk had already snubbed Enri as some hick from the countryside and back benched her request. Enri had been waiting there so long for an answer she had fallen asleep. The woman at the desk then basically went into full on panic mode when she realised and knew they couldn’t afford for Enri to give her negative impression of the guild to Momon so they did absolutely everything they could to make that impression positive, desperately so. They fast tracked her application, they gave her a bunch of stuff and weapons on credit and they personally guided her through everything she needed to do with the utmost attention to detail, terrified if they didn’t correct their mistake it would be Momon they were really pissing off

The whole Ainz and Aura scene, Ainz just treats Aura as if he had a daughter. Basically all of the residents in Nazarick despite they were undying loyal servants to Ainz, Ainz just treats them very well as both a ruler and a father to them.

I think I mentioned it in "a big post", but since I have nothing else to talk abaut this arc we can do it again. So the scene with lupus in Ainz office is very poorly done in anime. In Novel version of the scene Ainz was the most furious he was since s1 finalle. This fury was so overwhelming everyone present in the room was immobilized from fear. And remember, they all are supposed to be straight up immune to fear effefts, so that wasnt his passive aura activating, this was the pure terror of witnessing wrath of Ainz. The emotional suppresion took abaut 5 activations to finally calm him down. I don't remember was that stated directly in novel or in some twitter post, but if not for the nature of Ainz being basicly the best boss possible Lupus would get executed on the spot...and noone would have any problem with that since "she had one job, and failed". So yea, have I told it enough times that vol 8, one of the best volumes got adapted horribly? I will tell it again. Vol 8 is the worst adapted part of overlord yet...and for some wierd reason its before vol 7.

Guu is a special kind of troll called a war troll. He's a breed that has learned Martial Arts. Trolls come in a huge variety. There's forest trolls, mountain trolls, sea trolls, toll trolls, lava trolls, etc. Trolls are surprisingly OP in this world. Average ones are 5 meters tall and the only reliable way to kill them is either being incinerated, or melted. Somewhere in the west, there is a Troll Kingdom and it's one of the biggest countries. Just imagine *tens of millions* of these things. Also, notice that Ainz brutalized Guu for a while before killing him. One of the few things that can set him off is not respecting the name of the guild.

It was actually favorable for Ainz to have that skeletal poker face and emotion inhibitor since it allowed him to bullshit on every conversation. Without those, he would have blow things up too soon and too often.

Red potion is a game potion.1st He can't duplicate it because he bought it when he was a player.2nd of course he has shit load of it already because he was lvl 100 in game. Did you ever go to an NPC and bouth 10 potions while you play any mmorpg. He probably has 1000s of it because whenever they are go to farm ithem's or gold he was chugging loads of them(plus because he was undead he had low defance).

Apparently Ains regretted bringing Nabe with him as is side kick for when he was playing as Momon cause he didn't realise just how much she despised humans to the point where she basically doesn't hide it. The reason he assigned Lupisregina to guard the village is cause he recognised that she was a great fit for it since her bubbly outgoing personality really gels with people and ensures nothing bad happens. Basically she's a people person and is really good at keeping up that facade despite her own sadistic nature. With hindsight he apparently would have taken Lupis with him instead of Nabe. Who is Durting and why do you cut them during the intro? D: Yeah Ains wasn't creeping on Aura then. The residents of Nazarick are the creation of himself and all of his friends, as such he views them as his children. He loves each and every one of them (platonically), its part of the reason why he was so embarassed about what he did to Albedo's bio.

the village is like a very important asset for the tomb of nazarick ... first, ains build that village to be strong enough to serve as a BUFFER for the tomb. (wait for farther episodes). second, the boy whos making POTIONS for ains is important for WARFARE and ECONOMICS ... ains can use that lesser potion to heal his lower subordinates like the lizardmen and hamsuke, and at the same time it can also be the primary export product of the tomb. hehehehe third, to remind AINS that he was a HUMAN ... that is why CARNE village is a valuable asset for the tomb, and its going to become a fortress...

Great as always, and yes the start is the reason why we all come here 😂 So the first episode, you can ignore for setup for the season, it was just a fun slice of life episode for the series, the only thing would be in the meeting at the start, Albedo wasn't present, she was still in a time out in her room from trying to force herself on him 😂 Lupusregina had forgotten about the potion due to being scolded, Ainz was very displeased with her and she cowered a little if I remember right in the light novel. Why they made the comment of her being so excited after she left is because they could hear her without issue, the doors are that large and thick it shouldn't be possible unless it is extremely noisy... e.g. a raid party fighting its way through. When heading to the cave, they didn't show the number of monsters he brought, which included Spector's, which I thought would have been cool to animate, and the comment on making Shalter jealous was because she pads her bra, and is saying she will have a better figure than her so so can tease her about it. Anyway, thank you as always and will be counting down the days till the next one. May I suggest if you like this show, then look at Raising of the Shield Hero afterward? It is a great Anime and has been green-lighted for seasons 2 & 3 due to the fans reactions of the first season 😊

Ainz's trashtalk game is too strong! hes so good at provoking basically everyone outside nazarick. im guessing hes done it on pvps in the game to let his opponents to go all out on the first round and counter everything in the second round. thats what he is known for, losing the first rounds in every pvp ON PURPOSE, and then obliterating most of hiss opponents in the second cuz he studied them in the first. he cant do that in the nw all the time since dying is out of the question cuz we still dont know if respawning works or if ressurection even works on players. so most of the time, he will just gather info on would be enemies before deciding to figh them in earnest. . . . . . . . . spoiler below, read at your own risk. . . . . . . . . . . he destroyed a dragon lord and he was unscathed..... with this tactic.

The scene where Ainz pats Aura's waist is a bit misleading because the anime cuts out part of Ainz thoughts. Remember that what you see at first is always misleading you, and most of what the floor guardians are thinking is nowhere near what Ains thinks. in the LN Ainz mentions before the bath that he is strictly heterosexual with a preference for Albedo's type (curvy with big boobs). in the scene with Aura, its mentioned that he wants them to eat well so they dont develop bad traits from malnutrition, like stunt growth (they have rings that make it so they dont need to eat or sleep, but in the New World Ainz doesnt know how that will affect them over time). And since Ainz never had kids himself he wants to send them to elf school to learn properly. in he scene where he picked up Mare (the elf that cried), Ainz says he would give him up because Mare is like an adopted child to Ainz. Ainz is not into loli or men.

This was kinda unwatchable for a episode with actual footage in it. I really hope they wont keep this kind of quality for the important parts of season 3, A timer would be much better if this kind of cencorship continues. I really liked earlier vids of those guys but this is a 1/10.
