Pro tip, you can actually score pieces and add your slip so that you get a smoother look instead of the rough draft you had before. And also a spray bottle is really handy for when your pieces are too dry to work with. Clay is all about using the tools you have.
Pro tip, you don't need slip, just water! As a broke pinterest girlie I definitely have had my fair share of clay DIYs lolll but yes with the crayola air dry clay at least the big container like that you only need water to stick things together, and it dries and holds the same!
Hi Lily 😄 can you by chance tell me why anything I've ever made with this clay is so fragile? I'm so confused because it comes highly recommended for kids crafts but everything shatters!
@@lindsayminn9101I have worked with different air dry clays including this one in the video and this one is definitely not very good clay any thing i have made from this clay has fallen apart so i think you would be better off just to try a new clay because i don’t think it’s anything your doing but a problem with the quality of the clay
Trusting the process really is part of sculpting. I am a sculptor and oh my lord I have wanted to complete start over on projects so many times because they aren’t looking very good. But then boom 10 minutes later it’s my vision.

i’m not trying to be a hater i swear but just know that the crayola air dry does not hold up well over time. it starts to crumble (a sealer might prevent this though im not sure). your creations are so beautiful they deserve to last forever!
Slip is only needed for when you fire clay. The rapid drying process causes any air bubbles to expand and bust out, causing it to break. If its any clay that doesn’t need to be fired (ie, air dry clay, or small clay pieces that can air dry)
I feel sad I wasn't able to live the TOH experience like all the people here suffering and making theories when we didn't had much info and season 3 didn't exist. At least I have the video reactions to feel like I'm part of it 😅 This series has a special place in my heart since the day I found it.
Careful with crayola or honestly any air dry clay. make sure it’s completely dry bc I had projects that went bad after a few months - a year of having them because they didn’t properly dry and I painted them and they created these bubbles
Fun fact if you have some Cracks you can Use water for making it smother and if you want to make jelwry plate or somthink Else dont make to thin it will break
In about 3 years those pieces will begin to crumble and fall apart. My babies hand print started to crumble and that's something that I can't replace. So mad at Crayola
