Unfortunately, this demonstration only shows the obvious regarding air movement with different types of applications and doesn't address the Job at all. If the contents of that room are fully involved, you have to think about where they are and what they need to stop burning. If the flames are pouring out the window with force from the pressure created by the fire, you won't be able to get close to the window to allow a straight stream to effectively cover that material be deflecting the water of the ceiling or walls. A straight stream at high pressure puts a massive amount of water on a very small area and that high pressure will dramatically disturb the air movement inside the room. If you lower the water pressure so the interior gasses are disturbed less, and you apply a tight cone of water in an arc, the water will drop straight down onto the burning material in the room and stop combustion almost instantly. Because you didn't defeat the energy of the escaping gasses, all the smoke, heat and water vapor will continue out of the room through the window. The key is to manipulate and control the energy of the fire with your water application so the water will go where it is needed without disturbing the natural Pressure Release Location.
