I have the same air fryer. I never sprayer any oil on the chips and they come out crispy. 10 minutes isn't long enough. I preheat mine ( you don't have 2 ). I put mine on 165 for 15-20 minutes shake is half way and put them back in and check them before the timer runs out if they are done to my taste take them out, if not back in they go. I also noticed your fryer needs a clean. That's another reason why they don't brown. You need a pristine clean container

Leave in so air can circulate and therefore food will cook

hi, Samantha, you are like the google maps for air fryer, if i need to find the times and temps, you are the one i come to, i just cooked iceland thick chips and I cooked for 14 mins @195* they were really nice crispy too, pukka pie and chips, aah heaven, thanks for the videos.

My new air fryer has a Max Crisp setting which defaults to 240C for 10mins. I think that would get more crispy browning on oven chips. (Ninja Max 5.2ltr.)

Yes it would. I have found that with an old pressure cooker lid that I had that went to a higher temp.

My wife says I cook fantastic oven chips in an electric oven. I just leave them in for a while take them out and turn/shake them. do this several times to make great oven chips. Simples

I only mention if preheating it and I don’t mention if not because there is only a very small amount of recipes that need a preheat.

@@Recipethis I am a new user. I test run my first frozen chips cook and pre heated for 7mins. Then added a serve for 5/3m which made them perfect. Going to love this appliance. 😀
