Tip from a baker. Add a pinch of salt to your egg to break down the protein and the 'gloopiness' of the egg glaze so that it is easier to paint on and less like wallpaper paste. It also enhances the glaze when baking 👍
@@stevev3664 the amount of salt is critical as it regulates the fermentation and not just flavour. Too much salt well kill the yeast much in the same way it kills slugs do too little and fermentation will be too quick and lose flavour, too much will kill the yeast and therefore produce a more solid loaf. Ordinary table salt is the usual ingredient. Good luck.
Brill. An alternative filling that I know Sharon will love. A recipe given to me many years ago as a vegetarian alternative or just because. You need, 8oz of prepped pastry, short or puff etc, 8oz breadcrumbs, 8 oz grated cheese. 1 large finely chopped or grated onion. 3 Tablespoons of chopped fresh Parsley, chives and 1 tablespoon of mixed herbs. 1-1.5 teaspoons of mustard powder, pinch of Cayenne, salt and ground black pepper. Mix with 142mls of fresh cream. Leave to mingle and use as you would sausage meat. These are so fab and my favourites.
Love you two. Brilliant ideas no faff. And being a veggie, I know!, I can adapt. To be honest, you two have taken the “scare factor” out of air fryers so thank you 🙏
Good evening lovely people Delicious... in my previous life as a caterer I made these plaits on a daily basis and I would put a line of Branston pickle and grated mature cheese on top of the sausage meat ...give it a go and I'm sure your love .... Thank you and best wishes 😎
We absolutely love watching you both, you are down to earth genuine people, we are originally from Portsmouth and have been living in Perth Western Australia for 25yrs, We see so much of ourselves in you both and you always keep us entertained, we love the nostalgia school dinners, do you remember Manchester Tart ? We would love to see Sharon make that We have tried quite a few of your recipes and they are superb, have also made rice pudding in the slow cooker and was absolutely amazing, We are doing the donor meat in the slow cooker next, you inspire us so much Keep up the good work , we look forward to your videos every night, and we love seeing merlin and dougal, Love the slades down under ❤
delicious I make sausage rolls in the air fryer all the time.. i add grainy mustard to the sausage meat, then i sprinkle a mix of nigella seeds and sesame seeds on after the egg wash
At long last have managed to order a Cosori, I couldn’t wait any longer for a ninja to reappear on the planet, I just hope the Cosori manages to get here without being knocked off! So glad you use the Cosori for some of your recipes, this sausage plait will be the first thing I try, can’t wait❤
I've watched a few of your videos and am really impressed that: 1. You don't waste anything, and 2. You don't burn the food! 90% of the air fryer vids I've seen burn the sh*t out of the food and try to pass it off as something incredible. So well done, carry on!
Great video guys. Reminds me of my caramelized onion, cheese and bacon plaits, just I make them like a standard-size roll. if you like cheese you love them, so simple to make, caramelize the onion (I use red onion), cook the bacon, dry off the fat from the bacon and onion , mix the cheese and onion together, open out the puff pastry & cut to size cut your plaits, bacon on the bottom then add the cheese and onion as much or as little as you like, fold over the plaits, add egg glaze, air fry for 12 to 16 mins (depending on air fryer ) hope try these and enjoy x
Thanks Sharron & Martin only got my airfryer on Friday have cooked a chicken a small gammon joint an baked potatoes learning a lot from your videos I think you two are great xx
Just looks delicious, great advice to get making and freeze these for Christmas. A few chips and veg of your choice and it will make a superb economical meal we can all enjoy. Thanks once again for sharing.
I left my laptop on overnight watching cooking shows and this must have been a recommendation from RU-vid that automatically played but when I woke up I thought it was the sound of Del Boy from OFAH 😆 Watched a few of ya vids today and I like the dynamic between you two!
OMG, I love Sharon's expressions at her husband's dramatic reactions while eating 😁 Meanwhile, I want to taste that sausage mix. We have our typical here in the South, US, but wish I could get that here in the States 😑
You make it look so easy Sharon. I like the way you have the pastry edge on the side. I had a disaster last night. I made a Eves Pudding and did it in the air fryer, I pressed the cake sign which I didn't know was there till Martin mentioned it, and used some tin foil like Sharon did to lift the dish in and out. I reduced the temp and time. I thought it was cooked, I even stuck a needle in the middle and it was ok. I went to dish it up at tea time and it was still runny. So I stuck it in the microwave for ten minutes and it was ok. I was so disappointed
It’s great that you show how to save energy by using a air fryer, compared to a domestic oven, but pop over to your other channel and you use this huge oven to get the temp up to 180 , i think you might be tapping in to the neighbors supply😊😊😊
The sausage plat looked fantastic i am going to make it this week i will add some sage and onion stuffing to the sausage meat sharon you are a good cook and you know how to make wonderful meals without breaking the bank best wishes from sue and vic
Hahaha Sharons face when you say you are going in babe. I look forward to that every day. Great recipe both of you. I will defiantly try this one. Take care both of you. Steve.

Another great recipe guys! Will give this a go in my 3.5 litre Cosori Air Fryer, must remember to scale the recipe down, simply so it fits in the air frying basket! 😀
I must say you two piss me right off, yes I have subscribed, yes I have binged watched all the simple cooking, and the bit that pisses me off the worst is I have started cooking and using my Airfryer a damn site more than I used to, keep up the good work guys 👍

I was just wondering what I could cook for tea tomorrow, so I thought I'd look at your play list for some inspiration! I think I'm going to give this one ago.. I really enjoy these cooking videos.. keep up the good work both.. x
Blimey,I hope These Supermarkets are giving you discount. When we go shopping each week now we buy the ingredients etc that you recommend. Not quite as good as your meals though. Had a thought, why don't you buy a tea light warmer to keep some items warm instead of warming in your range cooker,it might be another saving. Oh and can you make corn beef hash one day🥰👍😊
Great addition with the pepper on top. That looked amazing ! On a side note, is Sharon still going to share her mince meat recipe with us? I know it might be early yet but I have to ask as I am so looking forward to getting her recipe.
Would you guys give my dad Jim Deller A shout out please Mum passed away this year and he’s had to learn to cook on his own He’s loving your channel and your a true inspiration to him So Thankyou Guys Tom Deller
