Owen's Travel Adventure ✈
Let's experience Air India's Boeing 787-8 from Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi to Delhi's Indira Gandhi. The flight takes about four hours and breakfast was served (a choice of vegetarian meal and omelet with chicken sausage)
Travel Date: November 28, 2014
Class: Economy
Seat: 39J
Route: Bangkok ( ท่าอากาศยานสุวรรณภูมิ ) to Delhi's Indira Gandhi
It's actually a long flight since I'll be connecting in Delhi going to SIngapore. The fare cost me around $202 via expedia.com and it's really a good deal.

Being an Indian , i feel so dissapointing while flying to india , when passenger stand up once the plane is off the runway Also beware while flying with air india , bcoz flight delays are often , . Great video btw ,loved it

I got that same seat on my delta 747 flight in 2 weeks , great video my friend is it true 787 is tight on space

not really. legroom is good. but i guess ANA or JAL's 787 is better. seating is 2-4-2 configuration in economy

Btw, the 787 is too narrow to support a 3-3-3 configuration. But only the Japanese carriers jal and ana follow boeing's recommendation and have a 2-3-2 config on long and mid haul routes.

+Tal Mamatov Yeah the Japanese really knows what comfort really means :). But for the 3-3-3 even the seats are narrow, I find AI's have good legroom though. Thanks for watching.

Air India has improved some 20 years ago they operated a motley collection of Airbus A300s and mostly old B 747-200..their service being great with great food and beautiful hostesses but unfortunately dirty toilets and plagued by delays..

Thanks for the vid Owen. Towards the end of the vid - Indian passesngers standing while the aircraft is taxing - well, they barely follow rules while on ground, so very few comply onboard. The FA's ought to be more relaxed & friendly towards passengers. AI needs to take a cue from Korean Air or Singapore Airlines - at least a few points. A lot of things will fall in its place.

am1966ath I can go out since visa on arrival is available. But I just rest in the lounge since I havent planned it. got scared to miss my flight.

i know it sounds crazy. It's just that I am a mileage runner and the fares are great too. I was able to experience and see Delhi somehow. Also for my viewers so they can also have more idea about Air India. Thanks for watching :)

+Aadil Anand Air India should have provided a waistcoat for their male flight attendents. With the tie's, they look more like Co. executives! Newer airlines like Emirates FA do wear the waistcoats.

Air India cabin crew come across as rude because they've been shaped to do so over the years by the countless Indian fliers they have to deal with. Indians have a general sense of contempt/entitlement towards anything state-owned, including the airline (Air India is state-owned). So Indian fliers tend to be rude toward the sari-clad cabin crew. This behavior is surprisingly not shown toward cabin-crew of India-based private airlines, such as Jet Airwarys. Indian fliers exhibit inferiority complex toward the younger, western uniforms-clad Jet crew, and behave themselves. You're spot-on when you say that if you're nice to Air India crew, they're nice to you.

+Jon Chester de Leon alam ko ibig mo sa bihin. well ung first flight, mabango ang plane kaso nung napuno na, halimuyak na. tapos madami super excited palipat lipat ng upuan., kaya siguro FA nila di gaano ngumingiti nangungunsumi. pagkalanding, tataxi ala tayuan na sila. pero ung flyt to SG behave naman. honestly nice man sila. masgusto ko na sila kesa sa intsik. hehehe

To me, Air India is only slightly better than third world country... Is just really dirty no matter how well the aircraft is..... No matter how cheap they are, I will never board. Plus, the water container needs to be cleaned, I'd prefer apple juice, tea, water, and coffee all use the water from water container, is disgusting and dirty....
