Thanks again for the detailed review, every time we produce a project we learn from the experience and make improvements and keep moving forward. I believe that belonging to the "DB" 85s model will be more and more satisfying for many people 🤝
My pleasure, thank you for providing the community with the products they WANT and for an affordable price. Always striving for improvements every release is how it should be, keep it up!!🙌🏻🫶
Been waiting for the og version to come out. These are definitely a 🔥shoe. Looking at getting the Jordan 1 black toes with the aged look soon. Keep up the awesome work.
Definitely improved, if they will ever release a Royal one I would definitely cop a pair from them! Also I noticed that a thing they can improve is the heel counter, which is way rounded compared to the OG
I wear 11 1/2 in the 85 hi Jordan 1 what size do you recommend for the developer boring size because they don't have an 11 and 1/2 on their website website
I have my pair. Pre ordered the black toe and now ordering the restock Chicago 2.0. The price is insane. Makes it really tough to purchase retros unless they go on sale. I could just get 3 pairs of each DB and beat ‘em
Yea the GOAT "Og or Bust" just posted another video of DB's latest and greatest! This man is heavily respected in the game and his opinions are very powerful. Enjoy the video everybody...
Thx for your time . mine, bred and chicago 85s ship out 4/29 , waiting with anticipation. 2.0 versions dont have the production date stamp inside. now they have size custom DB . i guess a way to tell the ORG. DB from the 2.0 DB. also the 2.0 have developer boring stamped insole not this NIke Air . Not a big deal at all . just a change from the Org. DB .
Have you compared these to any of Nikes Retro 85 shaped shoes? I only own the Neutral greys and I felt the shape was not accurate to the 1985 at all and they’re authentic. I really like that Boring is giving us these great shoes with surprisingly great quality:price ratio.
I have a bit.. DB and Jordan Brand have made improvements along the way. It would be cool to do a comparison with the new retro 85, DB, HVND and vrl.. maybe down the line I'll do that.
Two questions for you 1) What’s the quality compared to the lost and found 1s and black and white 85 1s? 2) Do you think they’ll withstand the test of time in regards to durability?
question about the laces: are the laces as long as as the original 85s? the db black/ red is my first "85" and the laces seem to be abnormally long compared to my modern retros and og's
I have both vrl ( 3 pairs) and DB (5 pairs) and I can tell you that these 2.0's are knocking on the door of vrl is almost every way. Vrls are perfect in the stitching game and colors however the DB 2.0s are breathing down vrls neck and whine it comes to price there is really ZERO comparison DB runs away with it.
If anything I feel like they should use the Jordan 1 High 85s as a template. They’re absolutely PERFECT replicas of the original few. To me I feel like they should improve the toe box and make it less round, make the collar higher and push the swoosh back a lil and make it smaller as well as in the middle of the side panel that matches better with the real 85 bred in the video. Once that’s all down, the V3’s would be PERFECT!!
I do love the retro 85s but they definitely have their issues. Most definitely with the toe box as well. VRL by far makes a better toe box and closer to the original than JB with the retro 85. HVND is also making an 85 cut which looks the closest to date from early photos I've seen. They even found the lasts from 1985 to construct the sneakers, can't get closer than that if executed properly. I should have a pair hopefully by late spring. Excited to see DB making more adjustments though , still work to do but they are improving every time so far..
I'm seeing in multiple videos that the perforations/holes in the toe panels are not centered. Such a small detail to be screwing up while getting so many other things right. Hope they start correcting that. I want to order some of these but am not sure because that detail would bother me.
Love the content you bring us and the effort you put in. But, my guy, why do you always pronounce it "Swush"? Its Swoosh. You're too old-school and educated to be mispronouncing it like that!
