Totally agree that Nike should release the Chicagos in its original form, hopefully even with the new 85 cut! Still gonna try to go for these though since the 2015 release has become way too expensive.
I’ll try my absolute best to get these for retail but willing to pay the resell price. I’m hoping it’ll be around the $600-$700 range at most 😬. These are a must have in your collection. Probably a top 3 sneaker of all time in general.
That's why resellers will never go away, and will continue to command ridiculous prices because there will always be folks willing to fork over the money
Definitely a nice touch. You bring up a good point... if JB change NOTHING on this release, would people still double or triple up? I think it's a welcome change to a classic silhouette to retro again this way. The additional layer of storytelling and packaging is just enough from an archived story to where it's not overly done. If not for this release, would most people even know about the Sandy Bros story? I certainly would not. Another great detailed review. Man, your thumbnails are always on point and exquisite. They stand out from all the other clickbait, gimmicky neon bold font graphics of every other shoetuber. Keep em coming Sean. 👊🏾
i was 9 years old in 85 and i do remember a few wearing chicagos but mainly dads wore em haha. i remember it was 80 90 bucks at some shoe store. i was a bit curious and held it in my hands and thought 'hmm so these are the new michael jordans." i was so amazed he had his own shoe named after him. i heard later in 85 mj still had to be proven. Glad nike took that chance and signed him.
Every time I’ve looked at a pair of these online I kept thinking to myself that something was missing and I think I’ve figured it out. The height is lower than the previous releases. Not by much, but it’s still noticeable. 🤔 JB was going for an OG “look”, but went with a lower cut on these which is an odd choice.

Team Early!! I've been waiting to see your review on these! I think these are top 3 release of the year for sure. The story telling is great, but I'm not a fan of the cracker leather and aged outsole. Doesn't matter though, will take my L on these now 😅
I've always wanted the Chicago's, but a size 14 or 15 is hard to come by. Despite the alterations to the 2022 pair to sale them I like them. I decided to buy a pair off stock x last week. For me this is the missing piece to Jordans 1-15 OG colorways. The 2015 pair is 1400, which I think is ridiculous for a pair of shoes.
I once again looked up your review on this pair just now because I am planning to trade my bnds Powerpuff Girls Bubbles X Nike Dunk Low Pro for this LnF. Design & Quality (craftsmanship & material), I think the Bubbles won.

They should have made the red leather aged too so the theme is consistent throughout. You've got a nice fresh black swoosh over "aged" white leather? Cmon JB.
I woud love so much a comparison with all the chicago cw since 1985 (I know it can be hard to get one tho xd), to have a closer look of what they changed on the pair since then
As someone fairly recent to the sneaker scene (3-4 years), I like the story telling of this pair, a glimpse into part of the history of the shoe and culture that some of us may not have been present for. The vintage motif is deliberate but not forced, I think this shoe is well executed!

I do love both nornal Chicago and these new Chicago release, I don't mind the crack leather too. I like the renaming too, the "Lost and Found" name fits the design from the box to the pair. 🔥 Better than the simple "Reimagined" name.

I think it is a fun release but a regular Chicago 1 would be preferable. I don’t have a Chicago 1, but actually like it less than the bred toe and definitely less than the bred. I am not confident that I’ll get for retail and almost certainly wouldn’t pay what I expect resale to be. Maybe I’ll be pleasantly surprised at the post-release price, but I don’t see myself paying US$700+tax or more. Thanks for the great reviews so I can at least enjoy good images.
These are fire..only thing for me is I'm not a huge fan of how they used the weathered look on the black on the collar and white on the toe but not the red or black on the swoosh. Seems like me everything should be the weathered look.
In a perfect world, NIke should just have retroed the 2015 Chi 1s, I'm personally not a fan of the aged treatment especially around that collar area. However it is still a Chi 1 retro so I will try to get them but will probably won't be paying resell for them.
Man these are great Fyi I’m a really wide footer and I wouldn’t go up half size it’s to long. What I do with dunks and Jordan 1 is take out the insole.
Looking forward to getting another pair of Chicagos but not looking forward to parting with a large amount of money for something as trivial as some new sneakers
Easy pass for me since I already have an original pair of 1985 Jordan 1 Chicago's and these new so called lost and found 2022 Chicago's are no where near the look. I also have several pairs of the 2015 Chicago 1's so I'm good. These are cheesy to me and just a simple money grab for Nike and Jordan brand. Good luck to everyone trying to get these. Shoulda just gave us the Chicago 85' cut... Wish I knew what they're planning. They're clearly aware we want the Chicago in 85' cut, but they are intentionally not giving that to us.... This new "old shoe" looks like what our 15' retro Chicagos probably look like right now...
If I have ANY hassle in getting these shoes, I'll be using a UA site for the first time in my life.. I'm not a Hypebeast or sneaker head, actually I ONLY buy the Jordans Jordan wore.so I just really want to get these without a problem I don't have the app I'ma raffle type deal lol..
