FINALLY. The Air Jordan 2 has returned with the closest to OG specs, much improved shape and toe box. A comparison with the original white/red as well as major improvements with the 2022 Chicago colorway.
@therealfac_1 i finally decided to cop the 2022 chicago retro earlier this year and love them to death, really hoping jordan brand decides to retro the home colorway sometime soon cause those would definitely look great if they make it anywhere close to how these cements came out
when I saw the official photos, I instantly loved them. the colorway is GORGEOUS (now my favorite colorway of the 2's, believe it or not), the leather looked decent, and the toe shape gave me hope. obviously we never know for sure until they arrive, but it all looked dang good. when they arrived, and I laced them up... infatuation. just waiting for the rain to let up for the first time I wear them, then I will run them into the ground. probably getting a second pair if I'm able.
These were already a top 5 release of the year for me, seeing how close to OG they are makes it even better. Nike EU just put em on sale with a whopping 40% discount, you know I had to double up!
Great video very detailed I’m going to try and grab a pair. Should I go true to size or go a half a size up? Thanks for the video my God am I opinion to the very underrated I want to score the white and cement gray pair next 👍🏽
I just copped these after watching this review. Great review. Would you happen to have any of the jordan 2 qf candypack colorways. Im thinking of buying the red ones but am not sure about the quality. Any insight would be helpful, thanks
I don't have those, from what I recall they weren't the best when I saw them in the store. The upgraded shape and OGs specs on this retro and newer releases are far superior, you'll love these!
I seriously don’t understand why Nike can get the 2s right within a year, but refuse to pump out Jordan 1 85s only. Hell, I’d love to have these crazy colorways with tumbled leather on some 85s. I love how they fixed these, but how in the world are these $175 and the Chicago 2s were $200, when these have better materials? Also, quick question, were the original 2s board lasted or no? It’s so difficult to find information. Once I found out that the 5s were, it made me wonder if previous models did or didn’t.
So the 22 Chicago I think were more based on booklet and hang tag.. seems ridiculous for an additional $30. I recall the white/grey and white/green were cheaper too. I'll have to peep my og 2s to see if boarded.. the og 1s definitely were.
@@ogorbust1697 yes please let me know. I’m trying to understand how OGs were made compared to what we get now. It’s just weird to see 1s have it, then nothing until the 5s, and then again nothing until the 8s. I think maybe the 6s had board lasts too…
Now if only Jordan Brand would STOP making the AJ1 High OG and just make High and Low '85s. The "reimagined" shapes are better, but they're not the OG. They're still not board lasted, and they still have garbage insoles. We know they can make them, and we know they can make them in numbers (The Airship PE's are built just like High '85s, probably one of the best retros out there right now.).
Yeah man, I thought they'd use retro 85 specs for all upcoming releases but just that specific release every year. Would love to see 2 colorways of highs per year and they have been improving them
@ogorbust1697 had to grab the green since it had a similar color blocking to the OG/'14 white, red & grey (stolen). Grabbed the black cements as well, but I've been out the country for about a year so I haven't seen any of em in hand lol
Still had to get a pair of 8s as well. I know the black colorway isn't for everyone but just imagine if they HOPEFULLY keep these specs for future og colorway releases
