He was pointing out the quality. The fakes ones won't last with normal wear and tear. I have seen fake ones fall apart. The real ones last much longer. You get what you pay for 🤷♂️
When you get down to scratching a shoe to see if its a fake, Don't bother buying the real. Also if your buying from craigslist who's selling a real pair I don't think the guy will just stand their whilst your bend scratch his shoes.
Why spend $280,, when you can get an almost identical shoe for less than $100. IMO,, isnt worth to spend all that money for a pair of originals. I'll stick to the fake ones.

Soooo basically unless you're walking around with the box or someone is actually close enough to the shoe that they can see the stitching, you aren't gonna be able to tell the difference. I'd rather save myself some money and go with those if the retail price is too high/I miss the release and have to start looking at resells.
+michael washell It's a psychological difference to wear real or fake sneakers. I believe that if your buying jordans, you should have enough money to buy the real ones. If you can't afford real Jordans then work hard until you can.

The problem is not about if they LOOK real or not The problem is that the Fake ones are likely to get damaged very easily, or get ripped easily and No one wants that. Imagine paying so much for the fake and have it all messed up just because you ran with it

Most everything that you used to compare the real from fake was subjective... Real (retail) pairs come with flaws just like everything else... I received shoes straight from NIKE where the stitching was off or glue was sloppy, etc.... Obviously there may be some obvious give aways like a hologram on the 13's are fake etc.. but you can't go by stitching, spacing all the time..
If you point the toe of the shoe due south and look at the clocks in hour house. The second hands will spin backwards. It only works with real pairs. A fake pair will make the clock freeze and you'll be sent to a different dimension.

It's not fake.. It's made from the same factory as the real one.. It's just not made to nikes standards... fake is when it's made out paper or cardboards... I just dont get it why do people pay hundreds for a pair shoes that looks the same... Smh..

Thanks man this really helped, I also noticed another way to tell if it's fake or not, on the back where there is the big jumpman logo, for the fake pair, the jumpmans foot is touching the stitching but for the real pair, there is a gap

Suggested retail tag does not mean they're fake. That tag is only on U.S. pairs. If you order from the U.K. they won't have that tag on the box, or the size sticker on the inside heel, because they come from outside of the country, and their sizes are different.
Bet if I got 2 pairs you've never seen before (1 real nd 1 fake pair) same size nd threw them in the air nd told you to bring me the real ones you wouldn't be able to tell the difference, no 2 pairs will be exactly the same authentic or not. lol

It's a good try at counterfeit comparison. Because fakes come in all shapes and sizes, a better method would be to describe the objective specs on the real shoe in detail. Like ok the real pair, the stitching on the back tab is 15 stitches/inch. Or, the size of the jumpman is exactly 17 ml from foot to foot. Because the more that you point out the flaws in any particular shoes, the more those flaws will be fixed.
Mine don’t have the 2cm gap but it’s from Goat. And everything adds up. The netting and tongue is perfect. This video made me think my shit is fake lol but on stock X picture didnt have that 2cm gap as u showed on the video.
Idk why I got skeptical of my 2012 Breds, even if I got them at Finish Line lol. I think it's the whole almost acceptance of wearing reps now-a-days. May be a couple of years old but still a good guide to authenticating the shoe!
Those stitching gaps can aper from one authentic pair to the next it's not a a reliable way to tell I have multiple pairs of the same shoe as a re seller and there are slight differences in stitching and spacing from one pair to the next
Hey noticed you didnt do the jumpan logo on the back of the shoe. On real ones should the jumpman logo be completely white with no hints of black coming into the jumpan foot or under its legs?
I don't really care if they are fake i have no problem wearing fakes if they look good. But it's funny to go to China and tell them all those differences and walk away with them paying 30-40 bucks. I once got Jordan 1's with a little differences that nobody notices for 35 bucks

Can different colorway's/Release date of the same model of shoe have different variations of how their stitched? I'd assume there all the same just different color and different year of release. I ask because I have an Authentic pair of Jordan 4 Dunk From Above (12-11-2015) but the stitching he pointed out at 4:00 is different than my pair. No gap between the stitching and the white sole. I bought mine literally from the Nike Store. The quality is Perfect and stitching is perfect too. Just slightly different than the Toro's.
