What’s good. The card board is still used in the Jordan 1 hi 85, some Jordan 6/7/8. It was what they used for support. Knight Wing from Wear Testers explains it must better. Oh yeah. Cool socks. We used to wear those back in the day. Glad you been rocking them!!! Bring back the slouch!

Facts I was gonna leave a comment on this too. It’s called board lasting and it’s what a lot of early 90s hoop shoes used instead of a fabric strobel board under the insole to help with structural rigidity and support. Not necessarily a cheap out as opposed to a feature true to the originals.

I’m on the list for the oxidized green Jordan 4, I think the release is delayed. The only thing I don’t like about the shoe is the Jump man on the back is on white leather. I would prefer it the Jordan jump man was on a green rubber piece. I ordered the Jordan 3 green glow from the secondary market thinking I was going to save money and I only winded up saving $5, if I would have known I would have got them from footlocker. It’s to late now I get the shoes tomorrow and I hope they are real

It did throw me off these are out early and on the resale market but way under retail. But like u said after fees it’s around retail. So I’m like why even get them early if you gotta sell them for less? How are these dudes making bank but whatever as long as we can cop without getting bust upside the head. It’s a boardlast for torsion stability so you don’t overturn you foot if you’re hooping in them. Modern shoes have carbon fiber, plates and etc-while. The Retro 85’s AJ1’s have them along with the 6,7,8’s and etc. It’s how a lot of OG’s were made too
