ESPN #4 Jaden Hardy leads Air Nado (NV) against #7 Moussa Diabate and a slew of ranked recruits on National Spotlight (FL) in the Championship game of the GEICO Top Flight Invite.
@Sean Brown I doubt it. Mikey cares to much about looking good for the cameras then playing hard. I’m pulling for the kid to succeed but I’m just being straight up
@@ericbonomo4987 yea bro i be watching his games hes good n all but the shots and plays he be making just look stupid he tries to shine for the cams to mich
@@jlandis3811 Yea okay Jed, I'm sure you are just chillin with NBA general managers all the time and seeing what they think of some sophomore in high school
Jaden hardy the best player in the class to me, but he didn’t have a good second half. His team needs to help him find ways to get open. Set more screens or something. Looked like a lot of standing around. Hardy also needs to find better ways to get open.
In high school it’s a lot harder if they send double teams because kids don’t know how to get someone open on that level but soon as he has the ball they sent two at him.
@@kenyonmckee2268 yeah it’s harder because some players ig at the high school level isn’t that great, however there were definitely some adjustments they could have done. Set him some off ball screens to get open, set him on ball screens, have him cut, or go backdoor If they are playing him too high. There was just a lot of standing around from hardy and his teammates, when he gets the ball and they are double teaming someone could cut to the basket.
@@jameelmorton6962 yea but usually at that high school level and the teammates and coaches don’t really know how to get someone open because there offense dies if hardy doesn’t have the ball all the time his game is more suited to the NBA more than any other player in the country him and Baldwin.
@@kenyonmckee2268 There going to have to make better adjustments then. All teams need to do is double team Hardy to beat them if that’s the case. Good coach’s safe going to go back watch film, and make the adjustments.
The fact that Coronado only lost to IMG, a team with countless ranked players, by only 9 points shows how well-coached they are. Props to Hardy, Collins, and the rest of the Nado team for playing such a good game.
More like they’re sleeping on tamar bates and Eric Dailey. Bates had a phenomenal game, he was getting after it on defense and electrified the IMG offense. Dailey is basically an RJ Barrett 2.0, so smooth and has a nice stroke.
I think hardy is the most skilled and most NBA ready in the class but once they were sending two at him as soon as he crossed the court I knew they wasn’t gonna win.
The Coach LOST The Game For Them. Seemed Like Hardy Didnt Want The Ball And Wasn’t Even Looking To Get Open In The Second Half. You’re The Star Player Of Your Team, So U Need To Show Up Big. Terrible Coaching For Not Setting Up Plays And Screens For Your Best Player. Also, Air Nado Had No Bigs, Therefore No Rebounds. Hardy Is Literally A Pro In High School
Air Nado lost this game on two fronts. First Frankie Collins is too highly ranked of a guard to not control the game for his team. A lot of the turnovers Air Nado had were because they were careless with the ball, making sloppy passes, and not going through their actions on offense. Second the coach has to realize that no team with any sense is just going to sit back and let Hardy shoot them out the gym. Once National Spotlight started sending the double Hardy’s way there needed to be a pressure release on the wing or the free throw to score or make a play so that it could take the pressure off Hardy and force the defense to do something different. Also whether it’s gang rebounding, asking your guards to come down and help rebound etc you have to be competitive on the glass. National spotlight controlled the glass and got a lot of easy and second chance buckets from it.
Bruh the only reason they won is cause they were bigger and the other team had no way or rebounding or defending. Hardy going to the NBA enjoy ur lil trophy and do ur dance for now. :)
Hardy is a crazy scorer he takes and makes NBA type shots but when he’s getting doubled team or they got a box and 1 on him he’s just walking around not looking for the ball which is something scouts are gonna see and that’s something that can make huge hole in your game. You can’t have the light switch on and then turn it off when you don’t have the ball in your hands, sure it’s the coaches fault too but he’s about to be in college next year he should know to go run to the ball try to set screens away to create havoc to get open for a shot. Standing at half court or in the corner isn’t gonna do anything. And does he play defense too? Cause I ain’t see no effort from him on the defensive end
