Thank you I can’t thank you enough… I tried some of your tips and it’s working now. I took a knife and also removed some of the old caked on grease and added fresh white lithium grease. All good now.!!
2009 Honda Civic had air blowing out everywhere except the front, somewhat similar problem. Pushed the white actuator in a tiny bit to make a better connection and the AC completely back to normal. Thank you
Did this fix no power or the ac not blowing cold air to the ac system my car won’t blow cold air and it apparently has no power to the ac compressor somehow
OMG!!! Thank you so much...3 taps with a screwdriver and i heard the air switch from the front to defrost which is where I need it tomorrow...Yes sir!!!
Mine worked too ... for a couple of minutes. I shook, tapped, wiggled, pulled, disconnected connector 3 or 4 times and each time the vent switching worked properly for 3 or 4 switches, then went back to being stuck in the last selected switch position. So I figure my vent controller is dying and needs replacement. But thanks, it was worth a try.
Hello, did you find a fix by any chance?? I believe my vent controller is dying as well. My ac mode only changes if I move the vent controller by hand.

YES!!! Right behind the pulled down glove box, there's a little folding bar that when I pulled forward it had the defrost vent blowing again. Thank you thank you thank you!!!!
Thank you so much! Had a similar problem with my Civic too. Just had to nudge the actuator a bit and it started rotating again! Thank goodness didn't have to replace it's, such a pain lol
Thanks bro!!! Same thing happened to me just now. I tapped it a few times and the white part of the actuator just slowly came down. Seems like it was stuck. But anyway yeah it’s the little white plastic thing that sticks when it goes up.

Mine blows warm ac air constant will this fix ? It just started not switching fans and switching climate modes but the ac has no power to it and they can’t figure it out 😢😢😢 any ideas I’m gonna try this I saw some people had luck with their ac working again after they did this just looking for some guidance before end of winter is over it’s almost spring 😅
Idk but my defroster stopped working but when I press the buttons with the defroster it kicks my ac on for some weird reason while the vents still blow in the front
ohh thank God I found this....this happened to me tonight and found ur video...will try to see if fixed....thanks edit: it work! I just started tapping the plug or the white thing and I started to spin when I pressed the buttons...must of been stuck, but hey don't need to pay to get it fixed
