In a survey the vast majority of people would rather die early then give up meat so switching to "plant based" food is just never going to happen

@@1erinjames Environmental destruction brought by animal ag is far more reaching than just that and affects everybody on the planet! Water sorces depletion, deforestation, climate change, destruction of the Amazon Rain Forest, oceanic dead zones, and many many more disasters the animal ag significantly contributes to.

fields that are exploited for producing food for fattening corpses breeding NON NECESSARY sufferings atrocities pollution etc. would be much more expensive to let animals in the fields besides the stealing of subsidies.

Not to mention the near elimination of honey bees in many areas because of over use of pesticides and herbicides. If Monsanto truly were a person like the SCOTUS says, it would be in prison or possibly executed.

You really don't know much about hogs that free range. They develop into what we know as "boars". They become very aggressive to people and other native species. Also they destroy the local ecosystem. In Texas and other states that have this problem, the states approve kill permits to eradicate the boars (no limit on killing). Probably best to keep them more confined like these farmers are doing now. Also, look at the morbidity rates of the actual farmers and their employees before making a decision on this story. I'm not for or against this story. Just hate when this Now This "Maybe" News tend to appear to have an agenda on most stories they put out.

@@brandonrobertson6327 i think we have a misunderstanding. Have you looked at what Joel does with his pigs? It's not free range, it's high tensile electric wire and the animals are rotated in paddocks. I'm from east Texas originally, so I know and have seen the damage you're talking about.

Absolutely terrible idea. That mass of animals would completely destroy the natural ecosystems they would be introduced to. Just stop animal farming altogether instead of these half measures.

Switching to veg isn’t going to change it. The problem that no one so far has pointed out is that those factories that we are being shown causing this pollution; don’t have their animals out at all. The pigs and cows were all cramped together in a fenced area. A lot of good organic farms have there animals out with enough space that don’t have this problem. Elias (I think that is how you spelled it) problem with the nearby farm is waste system they have. Which is probably an effect from keeping their animals that way.

@@christineferreira2181 Tuna is being overfished while some species such as sardines and herring are underfished. Those species are healthier for you anyway, less mercury. But people would have to get used to the fishy flavor.

I dont really think becoming vegan is the only answer. Humans have always eaten meat. However they hunted local game and used every shred of the animal from the hide to the organs to the bones. Plus people are fat and eat probably 5 times as much as the average person 100 years ago. Most people i know eat meat at every meal. So maybe instead of just cutting it, start to be conscious of how much meat you consume and maybe substitute it with starches and fruits and veggies and such

This is clearly biased. The problem are not the animals or eating meat. The problem is how they raise these animals. Disgusting was to treat any living being. I love animals and I love my meat. And there also is a strong case for how mono crops kills entire ecosystems, and you could (wrongfully) blame the vegans.

Monocrops are implemented to meet the needs of the animals in the industry. Animals eat more than half of the entire crop yield and take up more than 60% of all arable land to produce it. "Organic" meat is unsustainable for the kind of mass meat consumption we see today. Every problem with agriculture will eventually lead to the animal ag. Meat is the problem and we will be inevitably seeing more evidence for that in the near future.

Also I would not kill other animals with mono crops that kill entire ecosystems. What 100% vegans preach is fine on paper, but there are real world consequences for people's health and the environment.

@@alandiegovillalobos well obviously it is human nature to protect your children. But also remember that over 60% of the crops we.make it given to farm animals for our meat. We would very well solve world hunger if we just stopped factory farming and give all those crops to us. Plus, local farming is better. The animals live a long and meaningful life, without suffering.

@@alandiegovillalobos You got it completely backwards. Meat is not indispensible for human health, to the contrary. There is abundance of research proving vegans are healthier and have lower all cause mortality rates. Vegan diets are approved for all stages of life by world's most respectable nutritional and dietary authorities. It's pointless to debate it anymore because facts are just crushingly on the vegan side od the conflict. You are not protecting your children by giving them meat, you are merely ensuring they will end up with early onset of cardiovascular disease. It's not whether you love animals more than people, it's whether you love animals more than frivolousv pleasure of taste.

You really want the real facts (not for or against this story)? Look at the morbidity rates of these farmers and their employees. Since they work directly with the chemicals and the environment of their jobs in this industry. If you see higher cancer, lung disease, or higher than normal death rates, then it may be something to this story. If not, the lady that is featured in this short video probably died of cancer from a predisposition or a poor life decision her personal habits. And possibly, just develop her disease because, it just sometimes happens.
